As stakeholders and members of Rumuokwurusi youth Association we do want to alert the Rivers State government and the well meaning public of an uncovered secret plot by some agents of distabilization, confusion and underdevelopment in Rumuokwurusi town in clear connivance with the chairman of Obio/Akpor LGA Hon Solomon Eke to drag Rumuokwurusi town to another round of needless and avoidable crises by planning to scuttle, manipulate and hijack the upcoming Rumuokwurusi youth Association election to Obio/Akpor LGA Headquarters in order to rig and install his unpopular friends candidate at the expense of members of Rumuokwurusi youth Association but will be resisted.
The chairman is aware that this same action he is trying to carryout with his friends in Rumuokwurusi town were done by his predecessors which caused a lot of instability, problem, litigation and court judgement pronounced against this step like in the case of Rumuokwurusi indigenous contractors Association (Rica) involving late comrade S.I Amadi vs members of the Rica board of trustees. Also of recent, is the Rumuokwurusi town council involving Mr Clifford Wali vs Rtc board of trustee chairman and Rumuokwurusi traditional rulers still pending in court.
We are very much aware that in the heat of the covid 19 pandemic when his Excellency Chief barr Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike was busy putting up concrete measures in curtailing the spread in Rivers State by closing down markets across the state, the obio/akpor government chairman was in under hand dealings with his friends in Rumuokwurusi town he gave appointment as cover to collect revenue from markets that were supposed not to operate in clear disobedience to the order of the governor.
The persons captured in the appointment of the executive chairman of Obio/Akpor Hon Solomon Eke and more had brought nothing but pains,riddicle, poverty, unemployment,hunger, cultism, embezzlement, confusion, frustration, disunity, land grabbing etc to the good people of Rumuokwurusi town.
For the past 16years and more, money generated from the oil mill market meant for the development and welfare of the good people of Rumuokwurusi town were never accounted for till date.
Jobs and scholarships provided by companies operating within Rumuokwurusi town for the teeming youths of Rumuokwurusi were never seen or accounted for, as those jobs meant for our youths empowerment were either sold or converted to building materials.
We want to remind the chairman Hon Solomon Eke that he was once a president of Woji town and that election he contested then wasn't conducted in Obio/Akpor headquarters.
Rumuokwurusi is a town like Woji and both towns are within Obio/Akpor local government under his watch as chairman. Moreso, Rumuokwurusi youth Association is a registered body with corporate Affairs commission and he is not in position to interfere in the affairs of the body.
The chairman's duty is to ensure peace, development, law and order within Obio/Akpor local government and should not be involved or found in any act that could breach the peace of the well meaning Rumuokwurusi people. He is to ensure rancour free atmosphere for all within Obio/Akpor local government area.
His Excellency, chief barr. Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike con had always warned and frowned at imposition of candidates in communities or towns as that had always triggered communal crises.
We want to advice Hon Solomon Eke to allow the choice of the Rumuokwurusi youths to prevail. Honourable Solomon Eke the scammer....#wike's stooge.. You pple should defend your votes oooo.... 1 Like 1 Share |

Meka su badu, i think wike should do something.
Same this his predecessor did in Rumuobiokani community few years back.
I wont advice you go to court as the LGA Chairman wont honour court order.
The best is to petition the police or contact anyone close to Amaechi camp of APC to help get SARS obstruct the election. |
