A delegation from the National Association of University Students (NAUS) pays a courtesy call on the AIG of the Zone 13 of the Nigeria Police Force, Ukpo, Anambra State, today.
They promise synergy with the AIG and the Police for accelerated policing of the zone. They eulogize the voluminous contributions of the AIG in his various capacities in service and charge him to keep it up and as well maintain a good relationship with the Nigerian university students as he had always done in his times as the then Commissioner of Police, Enugu and Edo State Commands, respectively.
Reacting, the AIG Danmallam Mohammed fdc,psc assures them of sustained relationship and pleads with them to preach peace always and campaign against cultism and allied vices among university students as the Zone 13 will do everything within its reach to ensure that unbiased policing administration is given to students within the zone and the generality of the public.
He also goes further to assure members of the public that under his watch, there will be no criminal extortion, extra judicial killing in the Zone even as he requests for the students' cooperation in giving intelligence in order to achieve a crime free zone and to ensure that there is peace and maintenance of law and order. He hands over a plaque of recognition to them and wishes them well as they go about their activities peacefully as they too hands over a beautifully crafted portrait of him as an indication of honour and appreciation for quality service delivery.
The Chairman of NAUS in Ebonyi gives a vote of thanks to the AIG and promises unalloyed support of the students in ensuring a crime free zone.
The delegation is led by the National President, Comrade Ijegalu Simon Felix alongside the state leaders of Anambra, Enugu and Ebonyi as well as other members of the national exco and trustees.
