lexy2014:Hehehe....the internet gives empty people like you the chance to measure with those you can't dare in real life. If you're not of an IQ lower than found in people with trisomy 21, the answers to my posers should be obvious to you. If you need someone to tell you what a great player like Messi brings to a club asides his skills, then you have no business being on this thread. You should go to the romance section where your likes abound |

paulolee:1. Where you there when Perez gave him the contract plus did Perez told you that he will not renew his contract after the two years elapse... 2. If perez reject him like you said why did he give him an improved contract. If I was cr7 agent I will tell him to seek for a new challenge,he has done everything for the club plus I will tell him to go to juve because the fans there seems to like him after their show of respect when he score a bicycle kick against them. I hope your faster but empty brain can comprehend this... |

PDPdestroyer: I don't need to measure anything with u. Ur answer to d simple questions I asked has helped to put things in perspective. It's there in black & white. Ur penchant for labelling & name calling only shows that u really don't have much to say from upstairs, an emptiness which u display in greater proportion than me. So my emptiness is greater than all ur fullness put together. My lowest intellectual display is greater than ur highest intellectual display. D same way d internet has given me an opportunity, is d same it has also given u. So far, I don't see how u think u deserve that opportunity more than me or any other person in d world. If u have all d reason to be on this thread yet u can't see beyond Messi/Ronaldo dichotomy in answering simple football questions, I then wonder who should take a leave from d thread. It shows that u have no idea about d claims u are making |

lexy2014:LMAO You can't even choose your own lines of attack properly without quoting my own words Says so much about you. People like you come to public forums as this with the "I know all" mindset, only to get defensive after throwing unnecessary attack - what moral justification do you have to accuse me of "name-calling" when I answered you in a civil way until you started throwing tantrums. You expect me to be civil with you while you can talk to me anyhow you deem fit, nah it's never gonna happen! And I maintain you're just an empty individual who talks a lot without driving home a single point. I don't give a rat ass about whatever opinion you have about my footballing knowledge, you can't blackmail me emotionally with your incorrigible rants to provide any answer to your questions - you lost that privilege the moment you went rogue and started the name calling. Like I said before, you can make the questions your project topic, if you're desperate for answers |
Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by FlipModeSquade(m): 11:00am On Aug 26, 2020 |
lexy2014:I think you would have to go back and read my comment thoroughly.. NO CLUB can afford to pay 700M for a player.. The said amount is his buyout fee,to discourage clubs from poaching on Barca's best player.. Having said that,Barca don't want Messi to leave and will do their best to frustrate any departure.. And that is the reason Messi wants to activate his release clause.. Juventus bought Ronaldo for his Economic as well as footballing impact and yes,Juve has benefitted immensely from the presence of Ronaldo in their team.. More people tune in to watch Juventus play purely for the reason of Ronaldo, even me,am much more likely to watch Juve today for the opportunity to see Ronaldo.. More publicity equals more revenue.. |

Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by FlipModeSquade(m): 11:07am On Aug 26, 2020 |
Xpress24:So how much did Juventus buy him? Madrid wants Ronaldo GONE and they were ready to listen to offers for a reasonable amount.. Barca do not want Messi to leave.. That is the DIFFERENCE.. If they want Messi to leave, they will be ready to listen to a reasonable offer.. NOBODY is ready to pay 700M or 1 Billion for any player, even if the player is Ronaldo and Messi put together and is 20 years old.. The aim is to discourage the player from walking out easily, like what happened with Neymar and PSG.. |
Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by charlesm91(m): 11:07am On Aug 26, 2020 |
paulolee:after 2017 ucl final which Madrid won, perez promised Ronaldo an improved deal which he failed to do that season. The following season Perez stalled and yet Madrid won another ucl in 2018. Ronaldo reminded perez to make good on his promise and that’s when Perez decided to play game. Yes Ronaldo asked for an improved contract to put him in the same bracket with messi and neymar, which he rightly earned after delivering success back to back. Ronaldo wasn’t asking to be the highest paid, he only wanted a wage more in line with that of his status. That’s when PREZ decided he could get rid of Ronaldo since Bale was there thinking Bale could replicate his figures if given the center. The tax case too was also a factor as Ronaldo felt Madrid didn’t enough to protect him as Barca did Messi. Ronaldo left for Juve and earned considerably less than what Madrid decided to offer him after seeing he was serious about leaving. Perez and Ronaldo mutually agreed to lower his release clause (1b as at then) so that he could be sold. Ronaldo said the trust was broken between he and Perez and that’s why he decided to leave as he felt he wasn’t loved that much despite his input. |

PDPdestroyer: Attack? What attack are u talking about? If u are expecting an attack, sorry to disappoint u. It only shows y I said u are shallow and empty upstairs. Y should I attack u? Is that d purpose of d thread? Obviously, u shouldn't be on d thread. So u see that in ur attempt to "attack", u have chosen several words that have come back to haunt. More like pot calling kettle black. Let me repeat this question: "When u are asked questions and u respond by saying "...you are a Penaldo fan", is that a compliment or a personal attack?" Can u explain d civility in d above? U still talking about me not driving home any point. Is asking questions d same thing as "driving home a point"? I didn't call u names. I only told u are shallow in response to this "...you are a Penaldo fan". D fact is that is that u are shallow. because if u weren't, u will realize that it's u who started d name calling. I don't understand what u trying to defend or deflect. If u say that u "don't give a rat ass about whatever opinion you have about my footballing knowledge", then y do u give a rats ass about this: "if you need someone to tell you what a great player like Messi brings to a club asides his skills, then you have no business being on this thread." If u u say that u "don't give a rat ass about whatever opinion you have about my footballing knowledge", then y are u bothered that "People like you come to public forums as this with the "I know all" mindset"? Guy, u are entangling urself with each post u make which further corroborates my point that u are shallow. |
Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by FlipModeSquade(m): 11:17am On Aug 26, 2020 |
ojaysam25:Madrid wanted Ronaldo gone.. Ronaldo said so himself.. When the President of your Club does not value you the way he used to,that is to say that you are EXPENDABLE.. The said contract to let Messi go is not straight forward and is subject to interpretations.. It was supposed to be activated BEFORE June 30th and that time has elapsed.. The interpretation is now dependent on whether the unusual length of the season, should be taken into account and that is what is the bone of contention between Messi and Barca.. So,yes Barca tied him down with 700M and are still insisting on the amount being paid, because they don't want to lose their best player. Neymar was worth 220M to Barca at 24 years.. Messi is worth 700M to Barca at 33 years.. Go figure. |

FlipModeSquade:for real. I wonder what people are thinking, Barca would let Messi go for free? No! That’s bad business. If Perez didn’t let Bale go for free is it now Barca that’ll do so to their most prized asset. That clause na better interpretation go solve am. Messi better just stay one more year, finish his current contract and leave amicably with good memories. 1 Like |
Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by lexy2014: 11:23am On Aug 26, 2020 |
FlipModeSquade: This is ur comment: "What are the things a Club stands to gain? Messi is a GLOBAL ICON. FRANCHISE player that TRANSCENDS the Sport of Football.. ANY club that buys him, buys GLOBAL PROMINENCE and RENOWN.. Any Club that buys him, buys economic wealth.. That is the privilege that comes with having the GREATEST OF ALL TIME in your Club.. Inter Milan. PSG. MAN CITY. Chelsea. These are the clubs that will fall over to have Messi GRACE their team.." In response to that, I said this: "I think d issue of global brand and all what not was one of d reasons juve bought Ronaldo. How has that based on what u said translated into economic wealth for Juventus? U say: These are the clubs: Inter Milan. PSG. MAN CITY. Chelsea. will fall over to have Messi GRACE their team. Do u no d state of their finances especially Inter and Chelsea that u feel they be able to afford 700m for one player? Do u also take into cognizance FFP rule?" So far, ur response has in no way answered d questions I asked. U have gone round in circles with giving any straightforward response. |
Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by lexy2014: 11:26am On Aug 26, 2020 |
FlipModeSquade: U say: "NO CLUB can afford to pay 700M for a player..". But earlier u were emphatic and u said: "Inter Milan. PSG. MAN CITY. Chelsea. These are the clubs that will fall over to have Messi GRACE their team..". So u are contradicting urself. What was Juventus' financial figures before and after Ronaldos move to d club? What is d revenue Juventus earned because of people tuning in to watch Ronaldo as against before that? |

Re: Quim Torra Bids Messi Farewell by FlipModeSquade(m): 11:32am On Aug 26, 2020 |
lexy2014:Always endeavor to put comments under context. No club can afford to pay 700M to have Messi.. Messi knows that.. Barca knows that.. And you and I knows that.. And that is the reason why Messi is trying to trigger his release clause,to enable him to leave on a FREE.. The said clubs are FEW of the clubs in the world today that can afford to pay Messi's Wage,if he is FREE or have you not taken his salary into consideration? As things stand, unless Messi is able to be a free agent,he is STUCK with Barcelona.. |
