Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 8:32pm On Aug 25, 2020
i have seen many people ask that question, whether personally or not.
Some of them even suggest the r.o.i they anticipate.
Well, that is what we are here for. To learn and unbundle myths

the first real home work for anyone willing to do business is to study the sectors of the economy.

Yes, that is d first big task.

Carry out a detailed study of the economy for at least five years behind.

Find out the sectors that are doing fine and those that are not.
Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 8:39pm On Aug 25, 2020

Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 10:11pm On Aug 25, 2020
except u wanna be a small or average player. If not, ask urself, which sector is receiving enough boost from the federal and state govt.

Do not deceive urself, u cannot grow beyond the countries growth. Ask o pay. No matter how many millions u pump in2 ur biz, d country determines ur pace.

Ask gokada, o pay etc
Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 10:13pm On Aug 25, 2020
u must not neccessarily go for the sector that receives the highest allocation. Just make sure d govt is doing some work in ur choice sector.
Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 10:17pm On Aug 25, 2020
next thing is to determine how and where u wanna play...
Most sectors have upstream midstream and downstream
the resources at ur disposal will determine this.
Re: profitable Businesses by ublight: 10:21pm On Aug 25, 2020
u can break into any sector with any amount u have

yes.

If u dont have enough money to play big, u can start out as a consultant in that sector.

U will just have to work extra hard in getting mental resources that people can pay for.

U cannot outsmart the govt.

If d govt can carefully sit down and plan every year for the country's budget. I think b4 venturing in2 any business, u should do the same.

according to the Nigerian stock exchange, there are 12 sectors a company can be listed. And i am going to follow their rule.

We will be looking at each of these sectors with an indepth analysis.

So do not be in a hurry. Get a pen and a paper, u are going to learn a lot for free. And this class will take days, probably weeks.
