President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Col. Milland Dixon Dikio as the new Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Daily Independent has gathered.

A credible source in the Presidency said the appointment of Dikio, who hails from Rivers state takes immediate effect.

It will be recalled that the President suspended Prof. Charles Dokubo, the former Coordinator in February 2020 following numerous allegations and petitions.

Congrats man...In Nigeria when u cause terrible trouble, they give u amnesty and special benefits, but sane minds wont even see kuli kuli. It's just not the best for the country.

I think Buhari refused to listen to those who have been advising him stop amnesty programme in the Niger Delta or perhaps he was advised against stopping it as he initially planned.

Some politicans wanted ex militants to head the program, but Buhari refused.

Like others before him, he will fail and the reason is that these characters that Mr President is appointing do not have any relationship with the people they are suppose to lead.

I didn't wish him evil, I only stated the truth that persons appointed by Mr President for the PAP office lack character to succeed because there is no relationship between them and the people they intend to lead.
