Ize-Iyamu will take Edo back to Igbinedion’s era – Oshiomhole September 18, 2016
The Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole, has criticised a former Governor of the state, Chief Lucky Igbinedion, for saying Oshomhole’s successor will emerge from the Peoples Democratic Party.
Igbinedion, who was governed the state between 1999 and 2007, had recently said that the next governor would not only emerge from his political family but that the party would win by a wide margin.
But Oshiomhole told journalists at the 84th birthday celebration of a former Governor of the Midwestern region, Dr. Samuel Ogbemudia on Saturday that the state would not return to the ”dark era” of the opposition party.
The governor said that the task for residents of state on September 28, the day of the governorship poll, was to choose whether they wanted the house of Igbinedion, as allegedly represented by Pastor Ize-Iyamu, or they wanted to sustain the breakaway.
He explained, “The people have a clear choice to make. You want Igbinedion era back because Ize-Iyamu has been straight forward on it that they want to change this change to the Igbinedion era. Lucky has confirmed that one of their own would be used to reverse the clock back.”
He added, “Edo cannot return to the house of the Igbinedions… They want to use tax payers’ money to celebrate a man who has never served Edo State. ”
He called on people to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidate, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, in order to move the state forward.
“Edo people have seen the light. They cannot go back to the dark era which the Igbinedion house represents. They will consolidate the present gain and raise it to a higher level by voting for Godwin Obaski, who is not and will never be part of the Igbinedions,” he said.
ricson11: INEC Chairman will be like make we just announce Ize Iyamu as Edo State Governor instead of conducting election.
am surprised that some nigerians still take politicians campaigning serious and take it as a yardstick for measuring d competence of a political candidate
You dey see them? They are just activating another four years of slavery Both APC and pdp are scam If it is not a vibrant youth with great ideologies, then it is a scam Paliatives she hasn't been giving them from inception

IAM NOT A POLITICIAN OR A PARTY MEMBER BUT BELIEVE IT OR NOT, PDP WILL NEVER WIN THIS ELECTION I THINK EDO PEOPLE'S MIND ARE FULLY MADE UP ON how to send GODWIN OBASEKI'S MEGA AGENDA packing!!!
these road shows are just formalities to scare him!
Pastor Ize Iyamu, the Edo PDP flag bearer of the forth coming Governorship election in an interview agreed of being a one time member of a fraternity in University of Benin. He also agreed to being expelled from the university before being accepted back after two years to complete his school as lawyer.
Hear him speak!
dre11: FLASHBACK: Oshiomhole once wanted building named after Obaseki for ‘selfless service’
Adams Oshiomhole, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), once said Godwin Obaseki, governor of Edo, worked for the state using his brain and creativity.
Oshiomhole, who praised the governor during the governorship campaign of 2016, said a building at the government house should be named after Obaseki for his selfless service.
Oshiomhole said while he was governor of Edo, Obaseki helped him build the economy team of the state with his network.
“I know my limit. He knows his limit. Godwin Obaseki has worked for seven and half years for the people of Edo state, using his brain, creativity, quietly, not making noise,” Oshiomhole said.
“He sits in the office of the economic team which he built using his network of friends inside the heart of government house without demanding one naira.
“A man like that who will not ask me to give him contracts, but will promise me, comrade, you just do the thinking, we will create the means to actualise your thoughts. And to his credit today, check the books of Edo state, we did not build new structures in government house with government money. That economic team office was built through Godwin’s network. Today, it remains a permanent asset of the state government.
“I want us to be calling that building Godwin Obaseki building. I don’t see your opponent Ize-Iyamu being able to say that. In 2007, check the records, Ize-Iyamu was hiding from EFCC. He didn’t not vote. How can somebody who didn’t vote claim that he made me.
“If you have to look at Godwin and his credentials and you look at a man whose only work, by his CV, was a student and rusticated for two years, he read law but he is not a barrister. That is his foundation. I never gave him government job. Lucky Igbinedion’s mother was reported to have slapped Ize-Iyamu for misleading her son. He tried it with me, but we kept him away. Nothing near government circle. No access to public funds.
“Look at the road to his house, in our books, was dual carriage way. They took the money, constructed the road to his house and stopped. Although we have liquidated the godfathers politically, the entire political family will be liquidated.”

IAM NOT A POLITICIAN OR A PARTY MEMBER BUT BELIEVE IT OR NOT, APC WILL NEVER WIN THIS ELECTION I THINK EDO PEOPLE'S MIND ARE FULLY MADE UP ON GODWIN OBASEKI'S MEGA AGENDA & 2ND TERM RETURN!!!
Pastor Osagie Ize-iyamu and his Running Mate, Mallam Gani Audu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) were received by the good people of Enwan Ward, Akoko-Edo LGA.
babajero: What you are trying to say is that the governor, president and the rest of them are just there for their daily bread and nothing else?.
Is that not why the wannabe godfather Oshi-omo-Ole is annoyed with Obaseki- working more for Edo people instead of giving the fake comrade former chairman all the money? Edo people have a lot of work to do so that they don’t become like sophisticated and educated Lagosians under the Jagbajantis yoke of Bourdillon with his bullion vans.
When you are done reading, kindly enumerate 10 things Oshiomole, Lucky, and by extension Ize Iyamu did for the same State while they held sway.
After that, do well to point out Obaseki's sins.
I honestly want to know what he did wrong. I am mon-partisan, whatever will grow Edo is all I'm up for.
Thanks.

Kennitrust: That broom they are holding has swept away so many fantastic things in this country.
We won't have believed that the BROOM was design to sweep in hardship if we did not give it a try.
I always see people who are holding broom publicly like this as WITCHES AND WIZARD
I hate that symbol (broom) that has inflicted so much pains on Nigeria.
The broom revolution has nothing to do with the current hardship going now. It's even because of the broom revolution that we are still standing strong if not, if the previous dispensation have continued, we would have been in a deeper soup bro.
BF69BF: See them campaigning for people without PVC.
Pathetic.
The APC rogues are banking on Barawo Bubu’s remote control and coNrade Oshi-omo-Ole’s pain of rigging that was used in Osun. But they don’t know how much Edo people are ready to defend their votes, as Ondo people did in 1983 when Omoboriowo tried to steal himself into power.
Godons1: God bless our First Lady, God bless Pastor İze Iyamu the incoming Governor of Edo State, God bless Oshiomole the slayer of Biafrans, PDP and Obaseki.
Just make sure that you don’t follow coNrade Oshi-omo-Ole in his pain of rigging plan o. E go do you like film. Edo people are not ready for the Lagos godfather enslavement to ThiefNuibu and will go out massively and defend their votes. I don’t want to read your obituary after the election o. I hope that you will get some sense to do the wise thing.
The beautiful woman, a Professor of Medicine, a well-experienced medical doctor, Prof. Idia Ize-Iyamu, is truly working hard (and smart) for her husband, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, but the opponent’s wife is hiding somewhere in Bank of Industry, in Marina, Lagos; yet, they shout that Edo is not Lagos! Both husband, Obaseki, and his wife cannot even speak Bini language, with which they could have connected with voters...Hypocrites!
All hail Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, the Governor of Edo State, who will be sworn-in in November 2020, after the election on September 19, 2020.
I always wonder how Nigerians could be so less thoughtful.
Loans? Is it not the same promise they've always used to catch our market women to vote them and how many of them have received it without propagandas?
I would love to meet the first Politician who started this loan campaign promise Sha make I tell am Waka!
Jack14: Dem win election now dem no go remember street again
After election, her thief thief cultist husband will tell the market women to go and die, just like the fake progressive comrade below. Edo women won’t fall into their wicked ways again. God forbid.
Woke up with strength and vigour this morning and was up to face today with all hopes and aspirations but was sad & almost started crying after watching this video.
I've been an advocate of leaders been strong at all time with will power to carry out leadership responsibilities. And that emotional leaders don't go far but certainly not this way.
In leadership and governance, there's a place for 'Human face' no matter the circumstances. Widows to the best of my knowledge are integral part of our society and if we don't apply human face when dealing with them, am afraid we are far from getting there as a people.
Two wrongs indeed can never make things right and as such, can't fathom why the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams A. O. will treat this widow like this and even tell her to go and die when she's struggling to provide food for her family. I think it would've been far better to make her pay a fine for her wrong doing than this humiliation.
