Multitalented youngster Jerry Adibe better known as Jerry Shaffer is Hennessy’s official hypeman whose love for music culminated into what is today known as ‘lamba’ in local Nigerian. This parlance further drew him into the hypeman business where he has now gone on to become one of Nigeria’s most sought after hypemen.
While observing the compulsory one-year National Youth Service programme in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Nigeria in 2012/2013, Jerry discovered his love for the microphone as he hyped along to music and got people dancing. Thus began his career as a hypeman at the then Galileo Lounge & Bar, Abeokuta. He did this while also running the place as co-CEO between 2014-2017.
He has since gone on to represent international brands like Hennessy, where he is signed on as one of their official hypemen and has hyped for the multi global brand in over 200 activations all over the country.
Jerry Shaffer is not just a guy who is passionate about entertainment, he has successfully made it his profession, as being what he likes to call a "Hype Businessman" allows him put the business knowledge he acquired at the university to good use.
He founded his own entertainment outfit known as Slippery Entertainment as well as a lounge/bar known as Slippery Lounge alongside Chopilos, a 24-hour food delivery service that also covers outdoor catering.
The multiple award-winning hypeman Jerry Shaffer co-founded Flair Music Group (FMG) Record label. He held that position from 2014 - 2016 before letting his partner carry on while he pursued other interests.
He is also an Artist manager who currently manages fast-rising Nigerian musician Badboy Timz.

Musical Career
His debut single ‘Say So’ (a slow fusion of Afrobeat, Rap and R&B, which addresses the issues of sexual consent with the catchphrase “Imma wait till you say so) was produced by 2Kriss who has also produced for renowned Nigerian musicians such as D’banj and Olamide.
The eclectic visuals for Say So was directed by Felix Utomi and the legendary Mr Moe Musa (who has worked with some music industry greats including Fuse ODG, Wyclef Jean, Wizkid, Olamide, Tiwa Savage, Sarkodie, Patoranking and 2Baba).
The song which features Slimmz and Mo Eazy under Foston Muzik is currently available on all digital streaming platforms.
