The Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has fixed 40% cut off mark for applicants who took part in the conversion examination from non-teaching to teaching cadre through Computer Based Test (CBT).

This came hours after the Permanent Secretary of Board, Mrs. Olabisi Oderinde assured all candidates that sat for the test that Management Board will announce the cut off mark.

The TESCOM, Head of Zone, Mr. Folaranmi disclosed that the management of Oyo State TESCOM unanimously agreed on the cut off mark before applicants will participate in the further process.

Out of 1135 applicants that sat for CBT, 821 applicants scored 40% and above in the examination while the remaining 314 scored below. As such the 314 that scored below cannot participate in the further process.

All qualified candidates will also undergo oral interview after purchase of application form, filled and submitted to the Oyo State TESCOM.

The successful applicants will be part of the 7,500 teachers administration of Governor Seyi Makinde was planning to recruit before COVID-19 pandemic made him to put it on hold.
