Notice Of Tariff Hike By Ikeja Electric Plc by ikorodureporta: 1:12pm On Sep 01, 2020 |
As seen online: Dear Esteemed Customer, This is to notify our customers that the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has approved the MULTI YEAR TARIFF ORDER (MYTO) 2020 (“the Order”), which takes effect from September 1, 2020. This Order clusters Ikeja Electric customers into 5 Tariff Service Bands and revises the tariff payable by customers based on quality of service. This is measured by the average availability of power delivered over a one month period; factoring the frequency and duration of interruptions and other service parameters. The Order shall remain in force until a new MYTO Order is issued. In the interim, please note that the tariffs for customers in Bands D and E (highlighted in the table below) shall remain frozen until there is improvement in service levels. In other words, the old tariff for customers in Bands D and E shall be maintained until Ikeja Electric improves the quality of service provided to these category of customers. #ieserve #staysafe #BringingEnergyToLife https://mobile.twitter.com/IkejaElectric/status/1300752946309799936 2 Likes

I wouldn't like to publicly display my disdain for PHCN; If not, I would have uttered derogatory words, chiefly about their incompetency. 19 Likes 3 Shares |

How many percent increase do we have now? Moreover, they should explain what all these codes mean. C-MD 1, C-MD2, A-MD1, B-MD 2, R2, R3, C2, D2, so we can have a clear understanding of the new tariff. And even if there will be an increase in tariff, is this the best time to do it? This people are just insensitive and callous. 24 Likes 4 Shares |

What about areas with 1 day ON and 1 day OFF, which the days that they should be ON don't enjoy up to 12 hours light or they bring the light around 6 p.m take it by 8 p.m then bring it 11 p.m till 5 a.m again (hours that wouldn't be useful) on the days they will be ON. 19 Likes 1 Share |

Give me prepaid meter. I can decide on how many kW l plan to use per day and a budget for a month. It is just a function of unplugging my cut-out/changeOver. 1 Like |

Re: Notice Of Tariff Hike By Ikeja Electric Plc by Mopolchi: 1:46pm On Sep 01, 2020 |
The only change here is the increase in tariff x2. So with a reduced consumption of say 100 kWh ikeja electric will get what it will get when consumption reaches 200 kWh with the old tariff rate. In truth, Ikeja electric is not ready to improve. Where the firm will make more money is with unmetered buildings, it will just share rubbish estimates of power consumed and times them with the new rate. Deliver us from Ikeja electric! 3 Likes 2 Shares |
