Zeezy81:Thank you for this. Even the US from Obama's time have been attacking the WTO for been pro-China, and been unfair to them. Trump has practically paralysed the organisation by refusing to present judges for the WTO Court, hence, many have retired and they are left with three. He has practically said he will not budge. They can't form a quorum, and can't sit on any dispute, one of the reasons, the outgoing DG is resigning 1 year before time. The WTO is at an all-time low since its creation in the early '90s. If the US intends to make sure that the person there must have their blessings for FAIR TRADE, how much more Nigeria? Thank you again. 1 Like |

I hope the nonsense that happened in Nigeria under this woman won't bring her down or she won't try any games in such a sensitive position. Note that I am not a supporter of PDP or APC I just want to leave this shithole. |

Igbo people do not deserve Fulani man backing because an average Igbo person hates Gambari people with passion. They never see anything good in other people...they have forgotten that whatever one sow, he would reap... Ngozi, may the best-qualified applicant get the job... |

How can someone be President at Procter & Gamble for Western Europe, be the Chief Financial Officer & VP at Nestle', and later become a CEO of Unilever? Dear God, One day I'll come back to this question with an answer.... And that Answer will be me. Amen 2 Likes 1 Share |

Zeezy81: ridiculous argument. Heading the organization is advantaged? What did Ghana gain when Kofi Annan headed the UN Did the US ask his permission before invading Iraq The only person that gains is Okonjo-Iweala . There is no POTENTIAL gain there for Nigeria Absolutely nothing for Nigeria to gain other than bragging rights If she clinches it it is great FOR HER personally No gain for Nigeria How did Obama presidency benefit black people? maybe psychologically Trade is negotiated from positions of strength and not sentiments. Strong countries screw weak countries until they wake up. And when they wake up they continue to screw them The WTO cannot help Africa because it is set up to do the OPPOSITE 1 Like |

aribisala0: same as the way of tribalism in Nigeria, a candidate coming from a particular section of the country to fill a position does not necessarily translate to development to that section, nonetheless we always choose to have our person fill the post cos we know we will directly or indirectly have benefits |
