Kai Havertz voyage into football started right in his hometown club of Alemmania Mariadorf at the tender age of four. He was enrolled into the Under-6s side by the chairman of the club, who happened to be his grandfather.


From there he moved to professional side Alemmania Aachen when he was 10 years old. His stay at Aachen was quite brief as he was snatched by Leverkusen a year later after scoring a hat trick against the bundesliga side.

At the age of 17-years, Havertz became the youngest player to make 100 appearances in the Bundesliga, a record previously held by soon-to-be teammate Timo Werner. He also became the youngest ever captain of Bayer Leverkusen.


Havertz is very fast for a player standing at 6'2". He benefited from having a low centre of gravity while he was younger and idolises Messi - who has similar attributes...
