Nobody on front page was able to give a reasonable answer to the poster's question. Just saying rubbish all in the name of commenting.

OP, ride your room of rats and other snake food sources, and you shall be snake free.

Or, wait for the prophet to come charge you money, and then tell you that it was sent by your enemies. And only he can stop them next time.

Good evening, everyone.

This evening while I was in the room, my wife was still at the living room, she saw this snake crawling on the tiles in the living room and yelled.

I didn't believe her when she screamed she saw a snake but decided to check it out. Truly, it was a snake and I reached for a stick which I used to smash the head.

Please what species is it and how dangerous could it have been? It isn't really big yet. Could there be more?

Thanks.
of course there is more where that came from, let me even shock you sef, a whole family of it is somewhere around, this I know from experience.

Just search for them and take precautionary measures.

There must be rats in ur house

Some snakes sneak to homes not because there are rats there but there's an opening maybe by the door where they can crawl in.

Killing snakes in the homes is a common happening in recent times.

I once killed one in my lobby.

They always look for a place to chill

As small as it looks, it's very poisonous and extremely fast.

That's not cobra, they call it 'isan' in my locality.

Two quick questions. Why did you have a problem believing ur wife’s sighting of the snake in d first place, would you be okay with her dismissing ur alarm as just an imagination if the roles were reversed too? undecided

Just asking for a friend grin grin

The snake belongs to Lamprophiidae family with respect to snake classification and commonly referred to as African House Snake. It is non venomous and very docile but could bite when provoked. The best meal is rodent being a carnivore...possibility of coming to your living room.
OP please seal every possible cracks and crevices in your home and get repellant that can Wade off rodents
