A non- governmental organization, AFRICAN INITIATIVE AGAINST ABUSE OF PUBLIC TRUST (AFIAGAPUT) during a Media briefing after its meeting held at its head office in Abuja on the 3rd day of September, 2020 told media persons that Enugu state government has failed to make available to the organization information relating to a perceived abuse of public trust in the state which the organization requested for in line with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2011.
Upon questions on what the organization’s next line of action would be following the State’s refusal to oblige it the information sought, the organization’s spokesperson, NUC Emmanuel Esq told the media that they will invoke the extant provisions of the Freedom of Information Act, section 20 precisely and relevant rules of the Court for Judicial Review and or explore other lawful means best known to them in handling the matter
The spokesperson however, declined answer to the question seeking for the divulgence of the matter for which it requested for information from the state.
