Meet one of the most powerful women in football world who is behind Chelsea transfers(See photos)

Chelsea have truly turned into one of the biggest powerhouses in the transfer market thanks to Marina Granovskaia, the one figure who has arguably played the biggest role in recent years.

After all, she has become the most powerful woman in football and the figure who Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich relies upon to get things done at the club.

Granovskaia started working as Roman Abramovich's PA at his oil company, and later became involved in transfers and contractual dealings for Chelsea FC. Her task of managing transfers sometimes put her at odds with managers who had their own ideas of whom to sell or buy during the transfer window.

Granovskaia was promoted to chief executive of Chelsea FC in 2014. According to The Times, her promotion made her the "most powerful woman in football

Marina Granovskaia is a Russian-Canadian who is currently a director at Chelsea F.C. She was responsible for brokering the team's sponsorship deal with Nike, that will fund £60m per year to the club until 2032.

Having had the transfer ban last summer and spending nothing in the January transfer window, Marina has helped Chelsea come out of the global crisis relatively unharmed.

You got to give a lot of credit to Marina Granovskaia. She managed to get sales of £523 million in the last 5 seasons for Chelsea.

Thanks to her, Chelsea somehow ended up with — a then-world record for a defender — £50million from PSG for Luiz.

Another example is the £60m Shanghai SIPG paid to Chelsea for Oscar n 2016.

Chelsea also managed to sell Diego Costa for £60m in January 2018 despite having signed the Spain international for just £34m two years prior.

Eden Hazard’s £85m last summer’s transfer to Real Madrid which reportedly could raise to £150m which pretty much covered Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner’s signings.

With Granovskaia leading the business, Frank Lampard leading the team, and Petr Cech as the bridge between the two; Chelsea may have found the ideal ingredients for chapter two of Roman Abramovich dynasty.

In truth, Chelsea FC wouldn't be the club it is today without Marina, we simply couldn't operate the way we do without her. We owe a lot of our past success to her and the success that is coming over the horizon to her as well. We are building a new Chelsea under Frank Lampard, a new era of the club, the glory days are returning and Marina is at the helm of it.
She's just an employee, what about many women that own and run football clubs.

STFU!!!

Always spitting crap, Barca has spent close to €1 billion since 2015, just 5 years back yet you here yarninng dust. In the last 5 years Chelsea as the lowest net spend among England top 6 bar Liverpool, and the team with the highest revenue base on player sale. But certain paulolee believes Chelsea as been woeful in transfer business due to some flop.... You forgot Hazard, Oscar, Costa, Essien, Malouda, Lampard, Drogba, Ivanovic, Ashley Cole, Ramires, Fabregas in your list of flop?

You are just a clown, forgetting every team has loads of mega signings which flops, even your club have spent over 350 million pounds on flops just to replace Neymar since his departure. Continue with butt licking of Messi on every front page, and leave sensitive football matters which your brain seems to not comprehend for sensible football followers.

Look at this mofo, playing victim card I have noticed you enough of always wanting to speak more when you know less, a harmless post about Chelsea technical director, you jumped on it like a toad in a hot water, ranting and condemning the club for reckless spending when you know your club is culpable the reckless spending you're trying to accuse another club of in recent time, isn't that hypocrisy at it's best.
Learn to keep mute on things you have little or no knowledge about before sounding dumb on a public forum. The victim card you're trying to play ain't getting to me at all.
