Schools are just charging any amount they feel like on Original school Certificate, statement of Results, Testimonials etc. I was at a High School to get Original school Cert, Statement of Result, original Result print-out and was charged thus :-
Statement of Result and Testimonial = N5,000
Result Print-out = N2,000
School Cert. = N7,000
Total = N14,000.
This is ridiculous. You are even expected to plead with you money on hand before you could have your credentials which you suffered and paid for. Please, how much did you pay for certificate(High schl/Uni)? What is the official price of these certificates? I think they are just taking advantage of students and something must be done about these.
