No matter how wealthy, famous, powerful, strong, strict, daring, daredevil, passionate, wicked, fierce, dangerous or more you are in the world, once you die, you drop them all because you won't be needing them anymore in the other realm.

Then the only thing that will matter is if your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life.

Because without it being in the Book Of Life, you know where you're heading to even if not told for your sense, knowledge, understanding and wisdom will become keener to know all what you don't know while here on earth. You'd believe all what you rejected while on earth.

Do not let the devil and its agents tell you Hell will be fabulous because they know they ain't going anywhere good they don't want you to go up either. They make sin look sweet, unavoidable and enjoyable to you just to keep you in it till you die that they may stand against you to accuse you with one thing or another.

All those in Hell today are no longer practising what took them there because they're now under extreme torture without any partner.

So do not find excuses to continue in it as there is no justification to ignoring your Saviour who can help you defeat sin and its author.

Come to JESUS CHRIST, and He shall give you victory over sins as the HOLY SPIRIT will direct you in all Truth to live right and according to how GOD wants you to live.

It is only at the end that the believers who qualify for Heaven will gain entrance, and those who are destined for Hell, will be ushered into it. Till then, all those who die as believers, remain sleeping, till the return of Jesus Christ.
Another important thing to note is that, it is not the Sinless than enter Heaven. According to Jesus Christ, it is those who obey the Will of His Father that will enter into Heaven... they become like children in their thinking, and last I checked, children aren't necessarily "sinless".

Resurrection? Resurrection, as detailed in John 5, explains that all those who believe will be raised by Him, Jesus Christ, some to the resurrection that is life(Heaven) while the others will be raised to the resurrection that is Judgment(Hell). This can also be found in detail in the book of Matthew, chapter 25 vs 31-46.
As for using the word "sleep" to describe those in the grave, I am simply repeating the words used by Jesus Christ Himself in His Parables, and teachings. Those who die/perish in the grave, of course no longer exist and so are not considered to be sleeping in their graves. But those who believe in Jesus Christ are described as "sleeping" instead since they have eternal life and the power of death has been waved in their case. For example, on hearing of the death of Lazarus, a believer in Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ declared that Lazarus was in fact sleeping instead. Remember that according to the gospel of John, those who believe in Jesus Christ have eternal life. But because His disciples did not understand at the time what Jesus meant, He, Jesus Christ then declared that indeed Lazarus was dead but His death was by God's design. Jesus Christ then went on to say that it was so that the Father would be glorified through His Son, Jesus Christ.

In the parable of the 10 virgins, we are told that while waiting for the bridegroom, all of the virgins fell asleep.... the bridegroom stayed away for a long time; the brides all died while waiting(hence they slept).

It means the person, a believer in Jesus Christ (saved and has eternal life) died.

P.S. Hell, as described in the Old Testament, is not the same Hell described and defined by Jesus Christ as part of His New Covenant.

God never specified a Hell for those of the Old Covenant, so those who wrote of Hell in the Old Covenant wrote of a condition that was outside of God's Covenant at that time.
Jesus Christ, however, defined Heaven and Hell as part of His New Covenant, and so Hell in the New Testament is not to be confused with Hell in the Old Testament.
