At age six, he had been carried away by the flood of Odin, the great flood that overflowed the main street, drawing more water from inner streets, it happened once in four years and the people had lived with their nature, everyone in their home settlements for days before the water disappeared into the stream that sides the sea. The children from the inner streets usually talked about their joyous rain bath and it was raining that day, he didn’t know the flood had come, he was a tiny boy. From his stead, he ran into the rain, through the back of the largest parcel of land in the world before plunging into the main street.
‘O o oooooowu ooo.’ He shouted as the flood took him, feeding him dirty black water. After a long roll of floating and struggling in the water, he held unto a plant in the middle of flow and from that reached others. He eventually made it to the inner streets and met his fellow children dancing in the rain, he impatiently joined them to slap the rain and step on its defeat on the ground and they were happier that he did. He used to help them dash a tongue to bullies in school but no one bullied him, they hadn’t known why. He seemed like a moving air when he walked and the first time he attacked a bully, a push, sent the boy into a hedge. That incident sent off a warning and made it the last time he wasted any energy on bullies, he was always with his mates, eating seeds and chasing grasshoppers.
He slept in the dwarf triplets house for three days before the morning for school, his small white shirt relaxed on his shoulder as he jumped home, bare-bodied, greeting the women with baskets, the goldsmith, the fruits sellers, the hobbits, the giants, the fur-people, the smoke-starters, the trees, the skies, them all.
