When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stood in Kensington Palace's Sunken Garden to announce they were getting married, everyone's eyes went straight to her left hand.

Her stunning engagement ring was definitely fit for a princess, made with two diamonds from his mum Princess Diana 's collection and one from Botswana, where he does a lot of charity work.

However shortly after their first wedding anniversary the stunning piece had been redesigned, and the plain gold band was replaced with a thinner micropavé one.

It was unclear why she made the change or when it happened, but Meghan couldn't wear her ring during the final stages of her pregnancy so it's likely that's when she had the work done.

And now a new book about the couple has explained why the ring was changed - and it turns out it was.....
