The World Health Organization (W.H.O) said the #COVID19 pandemic and the measures taken in many countries to contain it have taken a heavy toll on lives, livelihoods and economies.


The organization also commends on the fact that there have been some unexpected benefits as they have seen a drop in many places.


The organization also talks about its concern in air pollution as it disrupts the day to day activities of people. It says they have been deprived of clean lungs and uncontaminated air.




“We are reminded of how starved our lungs have been of clean, uncontaminated air. This respite in our normally bustling cities and towns has resulted in cleaner air, fewer cars, less noise and communities that are safer for movement and daily activities”.
