All the members and stakeholders of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Afa Igbo Bu Ofu (AIBO), Nnewi North Local Government Area of Anambra State, on the 5th day of September, 2020 came out in their numbers to express their heartfelt gratitude to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Chief Dr Sir Willie Maduaburochukwu Obiano, Akpokuedike Global, Odogwu Omambala, Akpoo Aza na Nnewi, for his love and cares for Ndi Nnewi.
Recall that Gov Willie Obiano led Government in Anambra State, single handedly intervened and made sure that the devastating Erosion destroying lives, property and business of the good people of Okpuno Uzodike Uruagu/100ft road Nnewi was permanently put under control.

In an opening remarks, Hon Chike Agwuncha, APGA Chairman Nnewi North LGA expressed appreciation to Gov Obiano and APGA Government for the uncommon show of love to Ndi Nnewi since he took over as Anambra State Governor.
Also speaking, Chief Sir Ugochukwu Udemezue, Ifeneti, the PG Nzukora Nnewi noted that Gov Obiano is a good man with a good heart.
He commended Hon Melie Onyejepu for his selfless efforts and sleepless nights in ensuring that the erosion was fixed for the good of Ndi Nnewi.
According to him,“It takes approximately N150m to construct one kilometre road with drainages on both sides, and that the fund spent on this life threatening Erosion, will obviously be more than enough to finance all the roads in Nnewi and its environs. He stated that we just have to thank the governor for his love for Nnewi,”

In his speech, the PG of the host village, Okpuno Uzodike, Hon Tochukwu Nwokedi gave a brief summary of when and how the Erosion escalated and started destroying both residential and commercial buildings around the area. According to him, but with the timely intervention of Hon Melie Onyejepu and few others, Gov Obiano came to their rescue and today, the Erosion is now history.

Nnewi Monarch, HRH Igwe Kenneth Orizu 111, who was represented by the Nnewi Crown Prince, Obianefo Orizu, thanked Gov Obiano for his loving kindness towards Ndi Nnewi.

Hon Sir Melie Onyejepu, who doubles as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Budget and Efficiency/AIRS, and the General Manager Board of Bureau of Public Procurement, also joined others to thank Gov Obiano for his good heart to the people of Nnewi.

Others who spoke at the event, includes, Bishop Orizu, Obi Mbaamaonyeukwu of Okpuno Uzodike, Hon Nonso Smart Okafor, a member representing Nnewi North Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon Afam Mbanefo, the Commissioner for Transport, Rt Hon Chukwudi Orizu, the T/C Chairman Nnewi North LGA, Hon Onyedika Chukwuma Acobarry UK, the National leader of AIBO, Hon Obinna Okechukwu, the Vice President ASMATA/ Chairman NASPA Nnewi, Hon Vero Madam Sylva, Hon Tony Afam Muodielo, the Coordinator AIBO Nnewi North LGA, Hon Eche Anazodo, the T/C Secretary, Nnewi North LGA, Sir Fabian Obi, the deputy president of Nzuko-Ora Nnewi and host of others.
