I think what he's tryna say is that it's very hard to be a human with all the responsibilities that come with it, as a resident of such a country as this one. Education and the government have failed him, yet he's got unending bills to pay and a whole lotta responsibility to shoulder... So he professes admiration for the animal kingdom.
