Nigeria's problem is not about leadership the problem is the population are illiterate and stupid. 67% of Nigerians in UK do not know why they vote but they go and vote for a criminal. It is not about that government it is what the people want in Nigeria will tell you it is better the vote for somebody which can do nothing for them and suffer

ON POINT. MAY I ADD, SPIRITUALLY EMPTY

Why Nigerians never look outside APC and PDP befuddles me, honestly.

GEJ seemingly bleeped up, they ran to APC, APC has bleeped up on a grand scale, they'd be running back to PDP come 2023.

It's a very sad cycle.
do you even know the names of these other parties? They sit and do nothing until it's election time before they come out to make noise. A serious party should have started sensitization and subtle campaigns since 2015 before this calamity happened again in 2019

This is absolutely true. Nigerian Politics is a game for the violent.

Whoever decides to play with the Pig in the mud will get dirty.

Re: Olu Falae: Why Honest, Decent People Can’t Become President Of Nigeria by Kayyy: 11:19am On Sep 10, 2020
This is coming from the same Falae that collected 100million from jonathan during 2015 elections through dasuki, the same falae that promised he wasn't going to return a dime back ? , This the now that sees himself as a politician that could serve in the UK, US, if he had done such over there he would be in jail now rather than in front of a journalist spewing rubbish to move the youths (as usual the new mantra is take the message and ignore the Messengers, when we start having Messengers like Theophilus danjuma, Atiku, Alison maduekwe, falae, etc that have all been major part of our problems and people are saving ignore the messenger but take the message, then we are moving from frying pan to fire.

In a sane world all these people should be crawling into a hole and stay as quiet as possible but because the know how gullible nigerian youths are, they would use their word and speeches to energize and ginger the young ones to fight the fight, and they will stay in the background to reap the rewards after , and another set of people who have been relegated are brought back for another round of chopping and the youths continue to grumble, let any dumb youth use themselves to bring these ones back to power, na their eyes go face am

It's a very sad cycle.

It's called reach and structure.

Those parties have offices in every nook and cranny of Nigeria and have the funds to push those offices hence they retain power.

On a grand scale only one of those 2 parties can win a presidential election in nigeria for now.

It's too late for a third party to start making waves for 2023.

Unless existing structures are hijacked by said third party it can never work.

On the state level it might be easier to win the house of assembly and local government elections from a new party but even senate and house of reps will be hard unless the entire structure is hijacked.

Apc and pdp are well oiled political machines with numerous parts all benefiting from the power in thier hands that's why it would be hard because no part of the machinery wants to lose out.

True

When GMB contested in 2003,2017 and 2011, he had little money to spend and campaigned based on what he had, he lost.
The moment he had access to private jets, wore suits and isiagu, drank N50 sachet milo and started taking pictures with small children, we voted for him.
You can't win elections in Nigeria when you say the truth.
God bless you abundantly for this Insightful response to the write-up bro.

Suddenly everybody want to be saint! This is coming from someone that collected N100m from Jona during 2015 campaign despite been aware of the source!
https://punchng.com/falae-links-jonathan-n100m-election-funds-scam/

In Nigeria today, the only confirmed leader with proven integrity certificate when it comes to money either private or public is PMB (I know some people blood temp' is now in red grin)!

All the Obasanjos, Atikus, Sarakis, Punch tissue paper, Daily dependent on corruption, Vanguard in support of corruption & co. failed to debunk this because they are syndicate in stealing public wealth with different specialisation! And if you want to be exemption, just show the verifiable prove to the world!

swears that's our problem in Nigeria we vote political parties and not candidates. If we truly want an end to our suffering we should scrutinize each candidates and vote for the most promising not a fool from a popular party. If it's done that way our politicians will be up for competition and they'll try to do more good to gain standing.

Can someone please help me with the summary of the write ups in six sentence only. Because I am not understanding...

Decent people with good upbringing and good background along with education and exposure can not follow mc oluomo drag the chairmanship of NURTW hence the reason why na egberos dey do the job instead of educated people. Follow Mc drag the position at you and your loved ones risk.

For example, Sanusi was sacked by Ganduje instead of Sanusi being the Boss another example Fela tried to contest election as President against people that were in the farms/villages while his father was a priest/principal and his mother was fighting for our independence but instead na my generations unborn must not suffer like me kinda people qualify to contest.

In recent times a mushin boy was interrogating a VI boy. Makes sense?
