Those who went and shot at the pdp vehicles, those who went to oba Palace to shoot and kabaka was seen bragging in the viral video that he was the one behind the attack. If I was the judge I'd have awarded 1b naira against the police for being used in the edo assembly invasion. APC can do anything to disrupt this election, including sponsring thugs and claim it was pdp who orchestrated their activities , which is what we are seeing now because they know this election won't favour them. We expect to see worse drama in coming days. You know what, this isn't the time for stories. Obaseki is winning this election. The same market women whom obaseki sold shops hijacked from Oshomole to, at ridiculously low amount after Oshomole had put the shops up for sale at the rate of 1m naira each? Same market women who were campaigning for obaseki alongside edo NURTW?

I'm busy right now , preparing my wards for the election, just came back from the local govt chair's office. Make una no distract me abeg. We have gone far beyond this. All we are praying for is for the election to hold.

I'm neither for Apc or Pdp but the truth is that Obaseki cannot stoop so low to hire tugs.Obaseki is not as desperate as Oshiomole who's trying to save himself from political mockery and the ongoing campaign can testify to my claim. If you listen to Obaseki speeches you'll understand why education and self control can't be termed "waste" .

Where is the 'human face' in governance?

Woke up with strength and vigour this morning and was up to face today with all hopes and aspirations but was sad & almost started crying after watching this video.

I've been an advocate of leaders been strong at all time with will power to carry out leadership responsibilities. And that emotional leaders don't go far but certainly not this way.

In leadership and governance, there's a place for 'Human face' no matter the circumstances. Widows to the best of my knowledge are integral part of our society and if we don't apply human face when dealing with them, am afraid we are far from getting there as a people.

Two wrongs indeed can never make things right and as such, can't fathom why the Governor of Edo State, Comrade Adams A. O. will treat this widow like this and even tell her to go and die when she's struggling to provide food for her family. I think it would've been far better to make her pay a fine for her wrong doing than this humiliation.

Really! All this stuff you are posting are stale. I am not a supporter of APC and PDP... but for you to say that APC is the only party that can do that suggest that you are either in another planet or you are just completely bias. We know of a PDP Governor that came out publicly to threaten people with cutlass, a sitting Governor for that matter, Ekiti 2015 also comes to mind. All political parties in Nigeria have thugs, none is an exception. Mind you it didn't start today even during the time of Shagari and Awolowo it was like that.

The Lagos State chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed regret over the violence that broke out at its campaign flag-off on Tuesday, assuring Lagosians that such would not repeat itself in the cause of the campaigns.

The party in a statement issued by its Publicity Secretary, Joe Igbokwe, blamed the unfortunate incident on a disagreement between two factions of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, which they carried into the campaign grounds of the party.

All Progressives Congress primaries for local government elections in Lagos yesterday turned violent as some of the delegates vented their anger over what they described as an attempt to impose candidates on them.



According to Channels TV trouble erupted after 18 candidates were returned unopposed and a voice vote was called to choose the remaining candidates for the council poll, which is slated for July the 22, 2017.



Some of the delegates who were opposed to the use of voice vote protested the process, which they claimed would lead to the imposition of candidates.



They threw caution to the wind as delegates upturned tables, threw away ballot boxes and other materials meant for the election at the Teslim Balogun Stadium.



The state electoral body, LASIEC, had in April released a timetable for the elections.



The local government areas are currently being run by sole administrators appointed by the state government.

Don't mind them jor. Since the beginning of this campaign, pdp had been peaceful in conducts all along. They just want to use kabaka boys to change the people's minds by taking to violence but e no go work. They're simply playing their trump card. I urge security operatives to swing to action and arrest those idiots and never release them until after election. They must be interrogated. Those who shot at pdp vehicles who confessed being sent by the apc to assassinate pdp members are still in the police net. If ize-iyamu got 20% of edo votes, he must be super lucky. They have been angry at the result of the opinion polls conducted by channels tv yesterday in which obaseki led ize-iyamu falala. This has caused great shock in their camp since last night and there had been chaos here and there ever since. Election no be by force na. We told them from day one that obaseki is winning this election but they never wanted to agree.

Obaseki isn't a violent man. Is it me someone would come and change his mind now against obaseki or my mama wey be head of market women for uselu who spent lots of money campaigning for obaseki?
