While Konami built their niche among PC owners in creating the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), EA Sports were conjuring the best graphics and pictures for Playstation and XBox series fanatics as they perfected FIFA on their respective platforms.

There were no surprises for numbers one and two spots on the game as Barcelona’s Lionel Messi leads the pack, with Juventus’s Cristiano Ronaldo sealing the second place.

Robert Lewandowski’s outstanding season filled with goals and massive attacking at Bayern Munich is rewarded with third place. This is the Pole’s highest-ever rating in the history of the FIFA video game franchise.

Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne moves into third place after a convincing season full of assists and his PFA Players’ player award. The blond Belgian may not have won much last campaign but equaled Thierry Henry’s assist record in the league. Henry has held that record until De Bruyne’s break just last season. Champions League runner-up and Paris Saint-Germain golden boy Neymar sits in fifth despite missing most of the season through a recurring ankle injury. He has been the third-rated player of the last few seasons behind Messi and Ronaldo.

Atletico Madrid keeper Jan Oblak is the highest-rated goalkeeper. He is closely followed by Liverpool’s Virgil van Dijk as the highest-rated defender.
