Pls Be Very honest, Religion is a Very Serious Issue.
Believers in the house, Do you believe in Destiny?
Has God Written Everything that happens in this world beforehand, is everything Predestined?
YES or NO answers please, pls don't give Ambiguous answers.
If YES, explain
If NO, explain too with Scriptural Backing.

Mmm! Grow where you are planted. If it is necessary for you to move, you will be instructed like Abraham.

If you walk in the Righteousness of God, you shall hear from God and He will direct your path.

And if you follow Him, oh, what blessings you shall pick up along the way.

This is where the hymn Trust and Obey is your Guide!

"When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey."

There is nothing as such! undecided

The Bible says God created man in his own image {Genesis 1:26} this means man has the ability to think of making things better or making better things, so what God wants is giving life to creatures, most of them are living on instinct but humans that he created in his own likeness are unpredictable because they are also intelligent.
That's why he regretted creating man {Genesis 6:8} because unlike all other creatures that are easy to predict their next line of action in every situation, humans have different opinions most especially when influenced by greed!
Of course God has a master plan of how he wants things to be, but regarding what each person will turn out to be, he needs to start studying the person closely then he can predict what such a person will do in different circumstances. He has noticed that majority of humans are greedy so he doesn't give himself the stress of having to carry such a person in his mind because that will continue to pain him! Deuteronomy 32:5

So he focus on his master plan and select those who are trusted not because he designed them to be like that but he has noticed that inclinations of their hearts right from the time when they're still a fetus in their mother's womb! Genesis 16:11-12 compare to Genesis 25:23

Do you notice what God said about Ishmael?
He will become a trouble maker, killing people and his generations will continue to be like him killing people and getting killed as well, then they will continue to force their opinions on others everywhere they go!

Do you also notice what God said about the two sons of Rebekah? The younger will cherish sacred things and so he will become God's friend the elder will despise sacred things so he will have to serve his younger brother with whom God will dwell for cherishing sacred matters. Why? Because God has blessed Abraham their grandfather and promised to make his descendants great, one of Abraham's descendants will become a blessing to all the inhabitants of the earth, so God will continue to dwell with this one and lift his hands up above all his enemies. For Jacob to have cherished sacred matters gave him the opportunity of becoming that chosen descendant, otherwise it should have been the firstborn Esau. That's why Isaac their father tried to transfer the blessings to his firstborn son Esau whereas Esau doesn't cherish it that much! Genesis 25:27-34

So God has a master plan, all you need to do is find out what the plan is and try to make your life fit in to his plans {Luke 18:18-23} he will send his angels to keep a record of you in his memory book {Malachi 3:16 compare to Revelations 20:15} when he's prepared to restore Paradise you'll be remembered {Luke 23:39-43} for the love you showed for his name! Hebrew 6:10

God bless you! smiley

I don't believe in predestination.

The reason is because I believe that if God has set a particular destiny for an individual, nothing should be stop them from achieving that. There is no reason why they should die without reaching their final destination.

Looking at my analogy, you will realize that many people have died while still struggling to reach their "destiny". Some will struggle even till old age yet will still be confused if they've reached their destinies or not.

In Nigeria, many people assume their destinies revolve around:

Going to school

Having a good paying job

Buying car or cars

Building houses

Having children

Training your children in school

Having grand children and great grand children

Waiting for death to come

If they are able to achieve that, they have fulfilled destiny. Those who are not able to achieve that feel incomplete.

So I don't think there's anything like predestination. People create their own meaning of destiny and pursue that.
