If you're struggling with visibility and sales in your business, then you're probably making one or more of these five mistakes I'll be sharing.

As one new in the game, you most likely kicked off with so much excitement and energy which is great. But you soon discovered that excitement alone does not turn a business to a gold mine.

You need to arm yourself with proven knowledge, correct the mistakes that are already wearing you out and learn how to create the magic.

So, grab a pen and note pad or take screen shots of what you're about to learn. Ready?

5 Mistakes You're Making in your Business and how to Fix Them.

1. Fear of Polarising

Do you know a friend who keeps sending you dm to buy a product you don't need and think will be better for someone older than you?

Well, don't get pissed off it happens all the time especially to newbies, they always try to sell to everyone.

If you're on this table of trying to sell to everybody, here's the effect of what you're doing.

The more you try selling to everybody, the more you build resistance against your business. You're telling them "Please help me, I'm so needy".

On the other hand you're losing potential customers because you're busy with the wrong people. Don't sell out of fear.

Have a clear picture of who your ideal customer is. Identify the age, gender, location, occupation, relationship status, the reasons behind their decisions, their fears... And address your product to them directly.

In the long run, you'll be seen as the authority that solves their problem. This leads us right to the second mistake.

2. Speaking to Everyone the Same Way.

Now that you've narrowed down who your target customer is, you need to identify where they are in their journey. Start by answering this question.

What problem does your product or service solve?

If you can't answer this, then how do you expect to sell? Most likely, you're telling your target customers the wrong things and that's why they keep scrolling past your posts and ads.

Assuming you sell food, people won't buy just because you're a good cook, people will buy because they are hungry and they know that buying your food will satisfy their hunger. Being a good cook then becomes a leverage you have over your competitors.

Take this into your business. Your product is the food, but in this case, not everybody knows they are hungry, and some who are hungry don't know your food is the solution.

This means your customers are on different levels of awareness and you have to address them differently using different contents.

To those who don't know that the problem you're solving exists, create contents that brings them to that awareness. To those who know the problem but don't know the solution, create the right content for them.

Don't muddle your target customers together in one bucket learn to separate and deal differently. Got it?

Ooops! You're expecting the 3rd, 4th and 5th mistake. Learning is effective when its done in bits. So you'll read them in my next post.
