The Nigeria Police Force has commenced investigations into viral video of a police officer on uniform smoking and drinking while on duty.

This said police officer was caught in the act by two men whose voices can be clearly heard in the background of the video. He was smoking shisha from two pipes and drinking alternatively.

The Police Force says the investigation will seek to “forensically establish the authenticity of the video, the true identity of the man in the uniform whether he is in fact a policeman, an impostor or an actor in a movie scene”.


The Police Force urges members of the public with useful information that can assist the police investigations to provide them via their social media platforms.
