The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), has affirmed that universities across the country will remain closed until its demands are met by the Federal Government.

It asked the federal government to meet the agreement it had with the university academic body before it makes any announcement regarding the reopening of universities.

It further added that it would unveil its next agenda if the government continues to pay deaf ears to its 2009 agreement signed by both parties.

A good government should not be playing with education and health sectors because we can live without these two.

Hmmm

The only problem I always have with striking workers is that they usually suspend their strikes even when their demands are yet to be met only to resume the strike later.

If it will take 2years of sustained strike to experience an overhauling in public universities, it is better than all these cut and join strikes which are not yielding results.
