Staff unions in the Lagos State University (LASU) including the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities on Monday barred the Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagboun, and students from entering the university premises. The workers, who locked all the major gates to the university are protesting about the non-payment of increment in salaries which was promised by the Lagos State government to its workers over a year ago. Since the new minimum wage has been approved, the government should pay the workers their agreed wages |
