The Osun State Governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, has vowed to ensure that justice is served in the case of a young man who was killed during a hot chase by operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) of the State police command.

Featured24 had on Tuesday reported how pandemonium broke out in Osogbo after SARS operatives caused the death of one person, with two others critically injured and hospitalized.

The trio, according to information gathered by Featured24, were sent on an errand by their father with his car when the SARS operatives gave them a hot chase, taking them to be 'yahoo boys'.

Angered by the incident, aggrieved youths besieged the Osun Government House, GRA, Osogbo with the body of the victim killed during the hot chase.

Reacting in a statement on Wednesday, Oyetola said; “The death of the young man that was reportedly chased to death by some security operatives in Osogbo today, is very unfortunate and devastating. I sympathise with the family & loved ones of the deceased.

“I urge our people, especially the youths to remain calm and not take laws into their own hands.

“I assure that a proper and transparent investigation will be conducted to unravel the circumstances surrounding the sad incident and ensure that those responsible for the death of the promising young man are brought to book.”
