Chelsea is sweating over the fitness of new arrivals, Ben Chiwell, Hakim Ziyech and co. ahead of the crunch Liverpool challenge at the Bridge.
The blues were without several key new signings in their 3-1 victory against premier league opponents, Brighton last Sunday night.

Ben Chiwell had been training away from the rest squad after joining from Leicester City. Hakim Ziyech suffered a knee problem in his first outing for the blues during the 1-1 friendly against Brighton. Thiago Silva joined from Ligue one side, Paris Saint German and has started training with the rest squad.

Meanwhile, Christian Pulisic is yet to recover from his hamstring injury and still need some time to regain full fitness.

There is hope of a start for Ben Chiwell on Sunday. The former foxes man will assume the left-back spot from current occupier, Marcos Alonso and will continue to do so in subsequent times if his former club's form is anything to go by.

Thiago Silva has linked up and starting to gel with his new teammates. The Brazilian will find competition in the blues defense reaguard, with Christensen, Zouma and Rudiger all scrambling for first team slots.

He might make the bench as Frank Lampard will likely continue the partnership of Christensen and Zouma at the heart of defense.

Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic are still niggling with their individual injuries and will need some time to get back to full gear. They will miss the game against the Reds but likely to be available soon.
