Yoruba votes were equally distributed. As competitive as an election can be.

The North is where the gap came from (as expected.) The Southwest was the only region that showed no disproportionate favour between any of the two parties. The East largely voted PDP and the North largely voted APC. The problem with largely voting either is that the APC will think, well; the time they spend pandering to people in the East can be spent solidifying their base in the North where the numbers are, so they don't bother.

The PDP will also take them for granted because they know they'd rather chew cactus than vote for APC
So in essence, they get the short end of both sticks. The APC doesn't consider them important enough and the PDP takes them for granted because they know they'll never vote the other guys; performance or not. The North in this way is the same. PDP spent more time trying t
unify SE/SW/SS votes. Imagine how easy it'll have been easy to convince people in Borno to vote PDP. They won about 71k votes there and APC got 836k. So although their region was bastardised by the APC, they still voted APC removing all motivations for the APC to do something
about it.
The PDP also spent more time in the South because they believed them (Borno) to be a lost cause. So in a way, the yorubas are the "swing states" and they showed no disproportionate favour either way which means their votes are seen as valuable and actively seeked.

I saw a lot of comments under your thread calling yoruba people names. Saying they are not electorally sophisticated and what not. That's because you people have no idea what you're talking about and haven't given it a thought. You just thought up a tweet and instead of doing some research and think. You just write, sprinkle some emojis on it and think you have made sense validated by the tropes who will RT and comment because they are also not thinking. In which other region was a sitting governor unable to win a common senatorial seat.

That's right. Only happens in the Southwest. The Southwest should give you hope for our democracy not be a subject of your simple minded analysis and trolling.
