Pay no mind. He knows what I meant when I said Anambra. Anambra is not two. Enugu was added to Anambra for convenience not because we were one people. Again, ndi Enugu na eli eke fa na Ndi Ebonyi. They are the same people.
I'm sure tomorrow if Anambra is divided into 2 states, you people will start another agenda. It's just like stereotypes. Like how I used to hear about how Anambra people do blood money and this was when Enugu was part of old Anambra state. As soon as Enugu was carved out of Anambra state, all of a sudden, Enugu people stopped doing blood money just because they didn't take the 'Anambra' name.
Lol Aint no such thing as Omanbala tradition. Not saying towns around each other cannot be related in some way. You can keep telling yourself that to feel good or so that agenda must agenda. Wherever you go in fringes of Anambra, it bears a similarity to the state that they border. Anywhere that borders Enugu probably is similar to the communities that they border. Ihiala is probably more similar to mgbidi than they are to Onitsha and so on. Not saying there isn't some similarities between Anambra communities but you can't really call it Omanbala culture.
I have defined Omanbala culture here and all you can do is just ask if you don't know m rather than make assumptions. I can define it for you if you care. Cc. Afam4eva

Blood money was tagged to Anambra people in the '90s , Enugu was not fingered in that stereotype. But, ili eke is part of Enugu culture and no Anambra person marries from any family that eats the eke Idenmili.
Many culture Enugu people practice today were nonexistent before state creation. Today , I see Enugu Enugu people with Ijele masquerade. I see Imo people taking Ijele title but these traditions never existed in these places. Just like Nze greetings. It has become formal but it was initially only for ozo initiates.

you reminded me of something I wish I can get out of my memory forever. It was my first year in UNN, one particular Sunday, I left the hostel to visit my dad's sister who live somewhere in town with her cute family. On my way, I saw a small gathering of people, out of curiosity, I asked the bike man to stop. I almost died of shock when I saw a big and mighty eke being butchered by a woman. Her cooking utensils are nearby as well. For more than one month , I kept having nightmares. I stopped eating meat and fish entirely, unless am back home with my parents.

You own small....
Back then my sister's friend had put it in her mouth b4 discovering that it was no meat but Eke..How can someone serve his visitor food without even asking or saying this is the meat we cook the food with..
She couldn't eat for nearly 3 days..she kept vomiting not even that she swallowed the meat..such experience.
Visit any Enugu family , better you drink and go but if want to try yourself check the meat you are been served..

Afam4eva: Actually, this is not a list of the best Ogene musicians. Rather it's a list of Ogene musicians that you need to know if you don't already know them. They're my favourites at the moment,
Ogene is a style of Igbo music consisting of, and taking its name from, the ogene instrument, which is a large metal bell.[1] The Ogene instrument has historically been made by the Igbo people of Nigeria. It is one of the most important metal instruments of the people.

Now, here's a few of them.
1. Ejyk Mwaba - I like this guy because he's the most forward forward thinking among all Ogene musicians that i know because of how he brings his talent to Social Media especially Youtube and Instagram. I also like his Enugu flair of Ogene which in my opinion is the best.
3. Ausuma Malaika: He's one of the best Ogene musicians in Anambra. Him and his crew are based in Awka. I also like the fact that e has a Youtube Channel.
