Sentiments and politics apart, the guy is actually right on what he said about Lagos. He is only telling you basic History.

The substantial parts of what is today known as Lagos and Lagos State at large were not under both the pre-independence and the post-independence Federal Administration of Nigeria. They were largely under the Western Regional administration. You may need to get your hand on a book about the pre-colonial and post-colonial history of Lagos.

Most part of lagos state was under the western region, After then, Lagos state has been ruled by various military governor and democratic governor

You know why Lagos is overpopulated? Because it has more federal presence apart from Abuja than any other state, the only functional seaport, despite pleas that others should be made functional (allowing other sea ports to compete favourably with Lagos), there are some goods that you can't bring into Onne, but Lagos receives everything and for you information, the day Lagos loses its population is the death of Lagos, my tax to Lagos govt every month is more than 10k and so is every other person working legitimately in Lagos, the traders in Lagos, go and ask them how much levies they pay per day.
Stop all these jibberish about others overpopulating Lagos, it is the gain of Lagos.
The day the population leaves, that day industries and firms will follow them, maybe you think firms and industries run themselves.
If federal government should invest half of what they invested in Lagos in any other coastal state, every non Lagosian will kiss Lagos goodbye and you will understand that rents and taxes are not paid by empty streets.

Which Federal presence? I don't need to lecture you that your people are economic immigrants in Lagos just as they are economic immigrants in South Africa, Kenya, Togo, Benin Republic and Ghana. The IGR Lagos makes is just about 3% of the total tax accruable to Lagos. The 97% deficit cannot be financed by allocation. From Epe to Seme border, you have population explosion of people with majority of almost 90% are hustlers from all the States in Nigeria and some countries in Africa. Ghana, Togo and South Africa that drove your people away know that your tax of 10K brings an economic burden of 100,000K upon Jo'burg or Accra or Lome that is why you are been driven away. Lagos has no choice, she would taken the same decision.

Sir Louis Philip Ojukwu that opened the IBOs to opportunities in Lagos came to Lagos as a pauper.

TINUBU caused all this nonsense. He has no choice but to support YWC. YAF cannot recover back what was lost .
