Edo Election 2020: Advocacy Group Raises Alarm On 'new Trend Of Vote-trading by Samiolafire: 12:19am On Sep 19, 2020
As the people of Edo decide their number one citizen on Saturday, an advocacy group, Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) has cautioned against vote-buying and dissemination of fake news during the state’s governorship election.

AllNews reports that CDD, in a recent statement, issued its pre-election environment report and noted that it has observed a disturbing new trend in vote trading in Edo State.

“There is an emerging trend in the pattern of vote-buying wherein it is the voters who are now searching for the highest bidder among the political camps to sell their vote to,” the group said in the statement signed by its Director, Idayat Hassan.
