I don't know why we like to build housing estates in Nigeria with no roads or infrastructure!!! Dirt roads everywhere and no drainage.

The first thing to do in anew layout is to do the road and drainage infrastructure, but here in Nigeria we always leave that for last and start managing! Soon, this estate will be experiencing flood and it's only at that point will people be looking for water channels.

Also I can't understand why houses can't be in straight line. This is a brand new area with no impediment, yet plots and houses are already haphazard.

guess Peter Obi did it in Agulu and Ngige did it in Alor. Nonsense and ingredients. Eastern Palm University Ogboko which is Rochas Hometown is the best structured University in the entire Southeast and probably South-south.

Useless hopeless old man, I don't know when Anambra will stop haunting you bastard. Eastern palm university is the best in Imo state and not SE, because IMSU is a poultry farm.

That is because the media team from that state spend less in publicizing it. Calabar is well known by many thanks to Donald Duke

Akwa Ibom ayaya!
Ikot Ekpene has been a city on the rise, with good infrastructures springing up here and there. Hopefully Industrial development would follow.

Forget Ikot-Ekene, Akwa Ibom as a whole is lovely.
From the beautiful landscape to their oil deposits.
From their variety of delicacies to their hospitality and tourism industry.
This state is bae.

The capital city boasts of the best stadium in the country, world class mall, main library e t.c.

My dream City to live in in this declining country. I love AKIBM .
Apart from hospitality, you're correct. Akwaibom people are not hospitable at all. That's why people prefer Calabar and Cross-river as a whole.

Watch the aerial video footage of ikot Ekpene before you argue.

If you are young an just starting life and looking for a place with good roads, good schools, low crime rate, affordable city and a perfect place to raise kids,
Look no further Ikot Ekpene is the place for you. Its 15mins. From Uyo Akwa ibom state capital with well articulated road networks that will mesmerize you.
Its 70mins from Victor attah international airport.
And very close to Aba and umuahia though the road to aba and umuahia are terrible.

Eyeneka, you correct.

I have to confess; this city is the most underrated in Nigeria.
This is a city you can compare with the likes of Asaba, Eleme and even some parts of Lagos and Abuja and yet nobody is talking about it.
Op do justice to this thread by giving us more view of Ik, cause I know the place very well and you are not doing enough justice to it.
Guys truth is Ik (Ikot Ekpene) is even competing with the state capital for economic viability and is giving Uyo a very tough competition when it comes to tourism most especially during the festive season due to the fact that things are very cheap and it has more entrepreneurs competing for glory, it makes room for greater development.
This city is top notch for flexing, business, accommodation, education and entrepreneurship.

lol, how many businesses dey boom there and what's the purchasing power of the common man there ?

I no say hotel biz go boom there based on say we to like fucc.fucc.

These are the issues.

Not holding brief for any politicians ,but was Rochas allocation the same as Akpabio/Akwa ibom? Some of you do not think before you comment.

Have you been to Orlu? Is Imo state not getting more allocation than Ebony State? Nobody has defended Rochas on this forum more than me. I knew him personally years before he became governor! I'm just telling you that he ran one of the most chaotic governments in the history of imo state. No debates about his good intentions but he was all over the place with all sorts either substandard or uncompleted projects. For 8 years! Go to Orlu and see..
