Here are the ratings of how Nigerian footballers performed this week across Europe top 5 Legues  this weekend according to Whoscored

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City) - 7.8

Twice jockeyed Wood well to avert one-on-one chances, but was dragged out of position too often, and was too quick to dive in, leading to a handful of Burnley opportunities. Rodgers will be relieved Evans is back for the next Premier League game.

Semi Ajayi ( West Bromwich Albion ) -  5.4

Demonstrated his pace and athleticism to burst past Digne and deep into the Everton half from deep, but the defending - which admittedly was a struggle for side a man light - parted like the Red Sea in the second.

Odion Ighalo ( Manchester United) 5.7

Came in late and had little impact on the game

Samuel Chukwueze (Villareal) 7.5

Samuel Chukwueze provided an assist to help Villarreal secure a 2-1 victory over Eibar in Saturday’s La Liga game.

Villarreal started the game impressively and with only four minutes into the encounter, Chukwueze could have helped his side open the scoring in the fourth minute when he dribbled past his markers and sent in a through-ball but his effort was not well utilized.

Victor Oshimien (Napoli) 6.7

After a goalless first 45 minutes, Napoli boss Gennaro Gattuso took off Diego Demme just past the hour mark, bringing on Osimhen, and it did not take too long for the Nigerian’s presence to be felt as he took a slight touch off Lozano’s cross which fell into the path of the club’s all-time top scorer Mertens, for the opening goal in the 64th minute

Napoli suddenly came alive and they doubled their lead in the 77th minute courtesy of Insigne who tucked in the rebound from Lozano’s shot that was palmed away by Parma goalie Luigi Sepe.

Osimhen had an opportunity to score his first goal in sky blue colours not long after but his effort was wide off target. He crossed a nice ball for Mertens in the 84th minute, but the Belgian’s shot from outside the penalty box was well handled by Sepe.
