Onyinye and Nduka were in a tight embrace behind the Anglican church, the way they have kissed and grabbed themselves, Nduka was thinking he could whisper to her to come with him to his home but Onyinye was thanking her stars that they were not in his room that night, she could have given in and let them burn in the furnace of their youth. Nduka was a very handsome young man with a pointed chin which held full ebony beard all the way to his temples. His eyes were small and lovely, his nose pointed, he had his two canines dissenting from his premolars. He was very dark and bold of bones and flesh. Everything about him was on point except his name. Onyinye felt like giving him a new name all the time since he had no English name. Nduka sounded too local to a chick like her.
When they had reached the climax of their romance, they held tight to each other, empty of strength to continue or let go, they stood there, entwined till Onyinye whispered, ‘Honey, come and see me off to the house.’ Nduka gave in to a chuckle, she joined him and together they walked away, out of the temptation. He stopped her at her house’s gate at about 10pm and walked back home, turning back twice to make sure she had disappeared into her gate.
