and a serious minded prof will be restricted in attaining his or her full potentials due to nepotism.

Nobody can stop anybody from attaining his potential if you actually stand out from the pack.

Secondly no matter what a proffesor in Nigeria achieve in the private uni,can never be compared to what his colleagues are getting.

Congrats to my brother prof. Bassey for his appointment as CU, VC.

Prof Fola Lasisi a Youruba man was VC of University of Uyo for uncountable tenures, installed Yourbas as Dean's, HOD. And left a youruba timestamps at the university till today. Akwa Ibom people loved and supported him despite his sectionalism. Not to talk of Mobil qua ibo terminal and other oil and gas sectors in Akwa ibom state that is full of Yourubas.For the sectional, and ethnic bigots take note.

But this is commendable congratulations prof. Bassey.
Pastor Oyedepo thank you for your leadership role in Education in Nigeria, you are a shinning star.

Yeah, he was also my senior prefect at Lutheran High School, Obot Idim. He was in Luther House. We used to call him ABE.
