Snails are not broiler birds that mature in 8 weeks! It will take newly hatch snail 8-12 months to rich maturity(point of lay).

Hmm! Let me warn you, if you are a lazy type thinking it is that easy, No go there!

If you need good results in snail farming you must put in so much effort to archive maximum productivity, for instance you should be able to:

> turn your soil Every week for the breeder snails,remove the eggs, count and incubate.( huge work!!)
> give water bath to the Snails
> serve feed to the snails every evening( for vegetables and fruits; you will need to cut/slice to smaller pieces)
> watering of the Snails pen every evening(recommended)
> getting dried banana/plantain leaf for mulching when they got decompose etc.
> these are daily or weekly routine not to talk about initial starting point.

* By now; I believe You are scared and want to change your mind about investing in to snail farming right?

Well! you shouldn't be scared; because The truth is that nothing good comes easy you must work before you gain, or pay someone to do it for you.
* Snail farming is far easier and low capital intensive than other animal husbandry if you know it!

* All the Challenges above can be simply overcome with;
Money+Patience + Good Management = Successful Snail farming.
Note that a single snail can lay about 200- 300 per clutch.You can make a lot of money with small money in snail farming only if you have the 3+ above.

Water bath as the name implies is to put the snails in a clean water for some few minutes and remove them, it helps energized the snails just like humans feels after bath, if you make your snails feel comfortable they inturn give you more eggs or growth. Careful with baby snails use filter submerged and remove sharp sharp to avoid being drone

You do not change soil in two weeks but turn the soil every week.
You can change soil 1-2 times in a year.
