If Lecheistein in Europe is a sovereign country, why can’t Western Togoland be a sovereign country? It’s never possible to have the Uk and France to be one country.
Europeans pooled nations in Africa to one country knowing full well that internal wrangling would never allow such countries of different nations to survive.
Nigeria has remained the most dysfunctional country on earth.

Personally, I think all African countries should renegotiate their sovereignty. It is foolhardiness to be clingy to the greedy, unlawful, illegal and immoral partitioning of Africa in 1884 by white racists.

We need new countries in Africa. We should however not resort to this level of crass violence to achieve it.

Until we sit down and talk, across Africa, we will keep having this issues. I mean, look at the Ambazonia issue in Cameroon.

Africa, Think.
you typed nothing but the truth

Take a look at the European or american world
One country, one or very similar cultures…..why won't they progress?

In africa 1 country , various cultures who wants to be divided
In south africa zulu vs xhosa while tsonga's feel they are 3rd class citizens

In Nigeria igbo vs yoruba vs hausa
Everybody want to go their ways

Buhari faults crackdown on Boko Haram
JUNE 3, 2013

Presidential candidate for the Congress for Progressive Change in the 2011 Presidential election, Maj.-Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has frowned on the emergency rule in parts of the North. He alleged that innocent civilians were being killed in the states.

Buhari speaking during a Liberty FM Hausa Service Programme, Guest of the Week, on Sunday in Kaduna said that Boko Haram members were being killed and their houses demolished unlike the “special treatment” given to the Niger Delta militants by the Federal Government.

You have a point.

But then again, splitting isn't necessarily an African thing. Former USSR splitted, North and South Korea splitted. Québec has had multiple referendums to split away from Canada, etc.

Along what lines should a continent as diverse as Africa split? It will only be a matter of years before the new countries start splitting again. Besides, the effects of splitting affects generations unborn cause families might be separated if care is not taken and even with the splitting, y'all would still be neigbours and if there is no peace, it will affect y'all's economy badly. What Africa needs is a government structure that is similar to what we have in Canada. Let each province in a country be as autonomous as possible.
actually north korea and south korea was splitted by the usa and Russia,it wasn't their choice

Most of the territories spliitted from ussr where colonized by Russia ,it's just like Nigeria colonizing togo and cameroon and when a peaceful leader comes in they split from us

The leader that stopped regional government in Nigeria is to be blamed

.

Instead of the unnecessary shade.... The question you should ask yourself is: with the current structure of things in Nigeria..... Has it favoured you or the masses generally?
The political elite keep on rotating within PDP and APC and getting richer... While you stay behind your keyboard supporting whichever one your master has asked you all to do.

If you don't want division, you should ask and vote for better representation.

The issue is that most of the regions that even want to be self governing in Africa are not even viable economically!

Survival in a country you call yours is first and most important, not economic benefits in belonging to one big country.

See that's not entirely true, the greatest resources any country can own is human resources.
A country of four million people with good management n planning will do great.

Some Europeans countries don't have up to 4 million people or even natural resources.

If u are talking of Nigeria, every region is economically viable, every single region.

Una ehn!

Why do you think splitting isn't necessary and Africa thing and who told you that the Europeans own the monopoly of splitting and forming new states when coexistence isn't achievable after decades of forced union?

About being Neighbours; Vatican is not only a neighborhor to Italy, it is inside of Italy.

What about Kosovo, North and South Korea, Singapore Malaysia, South and North Sudan and even now Scotland wanting to leave the Britain?

People who are self determined (as self determination is boldly inked in the constitutions all over the world) must be allowed to be
on their own, exhibit what they feel they couldn't express unless they're independent.

The easiest way of achieving peace is by prompting freedom!!!
