My mother is from Ilorin and I was born in the core north. I will tell you that, whatever Yoruna that remain part in the event that Nigeria disintegrate will suffer.

In the event that Nigeria disetengrate the southwest will be 100 times better than the north and the opportunity to live in a Yoruba only country will be much better to become a third class minority to the mostly power hungry Hausa-Fulani.

On the contrary, when Igbos said that their kinsmen in the South South are Igbos, Yorubas and Hausa-Fulani arose and said that it's not by force for them to accept that they're Igbos.

I served in Kwara & the fact is that many Yorubas there always forget that Kwara is amongst North-Central States

Joining the southwest doesn't mean the people living there will need to vacate their land but it means the people of Kwara state politically can be referred and counted together with the greater Yoruba commonwealth.

With the current geopolitical grouping, it will be impossible for Yorubas from to become the president of Nigeria. An Ekiti, Ondo, Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Oyo man has a realistic chance than a Kwaran.
