Even if all other region agrees to this wonderful initiative, the North will still kick against it so as to enable them to continuously import almajiri from Niger Republic and Chad to come and vote during elections. |

Feelers coming from the north is that their political leaders see the electoral amendment bill as a southern bill. Basically they suspect that the move is to migrate to electronic voting which will disenfranchise many northerners who are not very literate. So as Southerners have shot down the Water bill so they will in revenge shoot down the electronic voting bill aka electoral amendment bill. If you want the electoral amendment bill, give them their water bill |

This is to show how the present rubberstamp NASS is totally useless in contributing towards the betterment of the electoral processes hence the democratic processes in Nigeria. Given the sham elections being conducted by INEC (with exception to the Edo case) have been better described as war, the Nigerian government, INEC, NASS, political parties, electorate & independent electoral stakeholders ought to have been in the forefront of calling for electoral reforms. |
