NIGERIA AT 60:

We keep celebrating our beloved nation every year and nothing has changed for good rather everything is getting worsening more every day, I could still imagine in a country of over two hundred million people blessed with a lot of natural resources but failed to utilize the opportunity effectively and efficiently for the betterment of our country but we keep promoting mutual hatred, mutual resentment among ourselves, Basic human development, basic economic development, basic social development can no longer be attained because of our elites selfishness who care about only themselves, yet we set 1st of October every year has day for rejoicing.

How can you celebrate Nigeria at 60 when there is no constant power supply? How can you celebrate a nation where businesses are dying, and where people are wallowing in extremely poverty? How can you celebrate a country which her clinics and health workers are agents of death, How can you celebrate a country where killings of innocent people are on rampage? How can you celebrate a nation that doesn't care about her Youths? Every aspect that I looked into I discovered there is nothing to celebrate, with massive wealth to spend as the largest oil producer in Africa but not really surprised because our oil revenues are been squandered by rich elites.

Our Politicians seems to be perpetually visionless, unobserving, unenlightened and consist of greedy, voracious, rapacious and corruptible leaders. Is it a rocket science to generate and maintain constant electricity , does it take eternity to build good roads, railways and maintain it, Is it impossible to have sound education system like our counterparts in the western part of the world? Is it difficult to build a minimally corrupt force where they are not desperate for token from the poor masses, Problems facing us as a nation are we ourselves but we keep agitating for Oduduwa and Biafra republic as if that will end our suffering.

If the three major tribes divide today and go separately we would have three poor countries with bad facilities and rampant corruption, we will be weaker and millions of Nigerian whose livelihood depend on the ability to travel freely in the nation for school, business, and living will be cut off and left in limbo, the same set of people ruling us will still emerge and the trend continues.

I'm serious sniveling as Nigeria celebrate her diamond age today, if it is not now then when are we going to have the country of our dream, a nation where peace and justice shall reign, a nation where equality shall be meted on both the Southerners and the Northerners, a country where our Youths will be her utmost priority, a situation where our dignity will be restored.
