Singers Wizkid and his former record label boss, Banky W, amongst other Nigerian music stars, have condemned police brutality in the country.

In view of social media activities since yesterday, Newsrand is aware that SARS has been trending with the hashtag #EndSARS on Nigeria’s social media community for more than 24 hours.

The demand for an end to SARS dominated social media activities, as many Nigerians used #EndSARS to list allegations of extra-judicial killings, wanton arrests, and dispossession of properties through physical assault and other intimidation tactics against the police department.
