dayokanu:That's exactly my thought. These people are bent on creating chaos and a sense of insecurity. What is striking though is their tendency to target the government and PDP. TH latest tactics may be aimed at scaring people away from PDP rallies which makes one think if the PH stampede was not carefully orchestrated. |

Guys i've said this thing before it is not by raining abuses on fellow Nlders or Goodluck,Ribadu,Buhari that will solve the case. the truth is that all three candidates are qualified for job.But as an igbo man i would tell you that buhari is the best of them but the way he and ribadu is taking it is too far. buhari systematically incites violence (cos of the almajiris loyalty) and ribadu always calling for GEJ retirement on the slightest error he makes.the way i see it, GEJ can rig the elections and nothing would happen we wud all make noise and keep quite( no be today) so i wud advise BB, ribadu to play this with their heads not mouth.next 4 year buhari wud be 74 and he wud be considered old in many quarters. so he better play his card wisely |

SAME OL' TACTIC Ceaser Nero used it in Rome; the method itself is as old as politics. Remember Nero was busy Fiddling while Rome is burning- Nero set fire on Rome to score political point i.e. Sympathy, solidarity & support Agatha Christie's Poirot, Mark Twain's Sherlock Holmes suspense unravel these mysteries in the stories. For the benefit of doubt, here it goes: A dastardly act in the magnitude of 'awe & shock' is commited against once own self, family or camp with the sole intention of placing th blame on the opposition (the usual suspect). Afterall, most people don't scratch beneath the surface; hence fail to point accusing fingers at PDP Whenever GEJ is against any popular opponent, bombs will starts going off in his camp, with the sole aim of putting the suspicion in the other camp and once the threat is over the bombing stops. Isn't it funny how all of a sudden all GEJ are bombers (isn't it obvious that GEJ is the common factor-cold blooded killer) when he's against IBB - it's the Independence Bomb Blast (Immediately, IBB drop out of the race, the bombing & the allegation cease) Then unto Atiku - It's the New Year bombing (Immediately Atiku lost the primary, bombing & the allegations cease) Enters Buhari - Now, it's Suleja bomb blast; same poo different toilet (Funny how the pattern is always the same; it's the innocent far removed bystander that is always the victim - never the political class(BTW, if opposition is responsible, the target will be the campaign podium, for sure I initially vows it's GEJ or no one else. seeing his shameless & inhumane tactics instead of voting for GEJ, I'll rather not vote at all. *singing Bob Marley song 'you can't fool all the people all the time'* |

@All, what else are we afraid of now? death or prison? what we face in the hands of pdp is more dangerious than those. we will not die in fears. our interest is to change nigeria and nothing will be exempted from this move. listen, if anyone dies at a pdp rally, that one will go straight to hell unless that one will die in between the two top criminals in nigeria like Christ die between two criminals. if pdp acts funny with this april polls, no one will be here to think of tracing IP. Gaddafi was the love of every Libya until problem came. his men are deflecting to oposition everyday. what pdp will see in nigeria can only be imagined. |

eku_bear: The truth is like a sharp sword, it really cuts deep! Wow! So all your tantrums have been because I pointed out religious and ethnic bigotry as the tools of the dirty politics in CPC? . . .And of course, being a bigot (albeit one that doesn't know his village), you rise in support of all bigots. lol Dude, if you wish to stop feeling the heat each time bigotry is mentioned, you need to stop being a bigot. Same goes for all evengelists of stone throwing politics. 5 people were beaten to death yesterday in Kaduna, many more were wounded and had their cars vandalised. Nigeria is not at war, neither is it a season for fools, so please keep quiet or walk into the nearest zoo. |

dayokanu:He did not start Shariah law but he registered a circular state as a member of OIC against its will. dayokanu: . . .'The head of government, on whom primary responsibility lay, was Shehu Shagari. Yet that individual was kept in cozy house detention in Ikoyi while his powerless deputy, Alex Ekwueme, was locked up in Kiri-kiri prisons. Such was the Buhari notion of equitable apportionment of guilt and/or responsibility'. Not all corrupt politicians were incarcerated. .'Buhari – need one remind anyone - was one of the generals who treated a Commission of Enquiry, the Oputa Panel, with unconcealed disdain' if he had no case to answer why did he refuse to appear before the people? . . . .'Shall we revisit the tragicomic series of trials that landed several politicians several lifetimes in prison? Recall, if you please, the ‘judicial’ processes undergone by the septuagenarian Chief Adekunle Ajasin. He was arraigned and tried before Buhari’s punitive tribunal but acquitted. Dissatisfied, Buhari ordered his re-trial. Again, the Tribunal could not find this man guilty of a single crime, so once again he was returned for trial, only to be acquitted of all charges of corruption or abuse of office. Was Chief Ajasin thereby released? No! He was ordered detained indefinitely, simply for the crime of winning an election and refusing to knuckle under Shagari’s reign of te[/b[b]]rror'. 'For the exercise of a changeover of the national currency, the Nigerian borders – air, sea and land – had been shut tight. Nothing was supposed to move in or out, not even cattle egrets. Yet a prominent camel was allowed through that needle’s eye. Not only did Buhari dispatch his aide-de-camp, Jokolo – later to become an emir - to facilitate the entry of those cases, he ordered the redeployment – as I later discovered - of the Customs Officer who stood firmly against the entry of the contravening baggage. That officer, the incumbent Vice-president is now a rival candidate to Buhari, but has somehow, in the meantime, earned a reputation that totally contradicts his conduct at the time. Wherever the truth lies, it does not redound to the credibility of the dictator of that time, General Buhari whose word was law, but whose allegiances were clearly negotiated'. How can you say this man has no past he is afraid of? |

Beaf:Beaf. . . I know perhaps you didn't hav access to a high-quality education. So your reading comprehension might be lacking. However, in case you didn't pick up on it. . . I'm MOCKING you. That you blame everything on "ethnic bigotry." If the day is a bit chilly, you'll blame ethnic bigotry. Some stock you own lost value, ethnic bigotry. If it isn't clear, I'm mocking your stupidity. I didn't realize I'd have to explain how exactly I'm mocking you. *Shrug* I don't much give a damn about your opinion, dude. So if you think I'm a bigot, that is your problem. . . not mine. I wonder how easy it will be for them to RIP, given that you are politicizing their death. Certainly true. Then what on earth are you doing posting here? And what if I decide to do neither? What then? |

eku_bear: lol! The power of guilt! Its like shouting "thief" in a crowd, all thieves begin to cast furtive looks, feel jittery, and fidget like cornered chickens. You're one of NL's biggset ethnic bigots, and it dulls the brain dude. Why does this bigotry thing pain you so much and yet you simply can't change? A worthy case for scientific research, perhaps? Almajiri's are bigoted, because they have little choice and the likes of CPC can use them in dastardly ways; but why you? 5 innocent people were beaten to death in Kaduna yesterday for not saying, "sai buhari" at an almajiri checkpoint and you are here today, an educated man, no doubt perspiring over your keyboard in tormented defense of bigotry? As I keep repeating, Nigeria isn't at war. So why the dirty and violent tactics? Pull yourself out of that sewer and stop chatting crap, you would immediately begin to sound more intelligent. |

eku_bear: Thankx! Check my old, old, posts! Been using it for ova a yr now! That was the only way I could rationalize the mentality of the average Nigerian (I dont mean this in a derogatory way). My take is, MOST OF THEM DONT KNOW BETTER; at least thats what NL has shown me!!! Theyve lived in a society where mediocrity is the norm and thats all they know. Lemme give you an example: Just this past weekend, a relative of my Dad's came to visit (he'll be staying in the States for a month), u should listen to this guy's mode of reasoning, u'll want to strangle him! So, in his usual "shiyyt blabbering" way, this fool drops the craziest of "knowledges"! At a point, my Dad had to ask him in an annoying tone: "Have you ever lived, for 5yrs straight, and never experienced a black-out? Have you lived for 5 yrs without having to bribe anyone and still get things done? So why are you insisting on voting in GEJ? Apart from your 'He's ordained by God' and 'Hes from the East', gimme ONE REASON why he's worthy of any votes. . . . ". Dude just sat there, mouth open, like a fish outta water! Then he had the audacity to ask my Sis to call me to come get him so we could hit the club together (I'll be paying, of course). I told her to ask him to holla at GEJ or one of the other known PDP thieves he's ready to put his life on the line for. I worked hard for my cheddar. Ask your Leaders to provide jobs for you so you can have money to floss at the club too. Sucka! |
Re: Bomb blast kills three near Nigeria election rally by ekubear1: 3:35am On Mar 04, 2011 |
^--- Sadly you are correct. Even my dad, a guy who is usually more perceptive about these things is supporting GEJ due to this "ordained by God" stuff. Nothing more, nothing less. . . no deeper analysis of the situation. |

Re: Bomb blast kills three near Nigeria election rally by Kc3000: 4:04am On Mar 04, 2011 |
@agabaI23, you have made some very salient points. Nigeria doesn't work because at the moment of truth, people let their better judgments be clouded by their ethnic biases. It's appalling that some people have become Buhari apologists just to spite Jonathan. If IBB should hide his head in shame for what he has done to this country, Buhari should do the same. Recently, Prof. Wole Soyinka wrote an article to remind Nigerians of whom Buhari truly is ,as it seems like many have forgotten the true nature of this man. In addition to all that was mentioned, one cannot forget his complicity in the Abacha PTF money squandering scheme. It's one thing not to support Jonathan, but it's just ridiculous to advocate Buhari as the savior that Nigeria needs. |
