You can get practically anything online, literally anything but it seems impossible to find real love. I feel really sorry for people who have put themselves out there in the hopes of meeting that somebody only to end up being used/abused in one shape or the other.

It would be nice to be able to join a dating site and meet someone that you could get to know without worrying about what lies they're telling about themselves, most of the time, it's a whole lot! There really isn't any sure way of preventing lies, is there?

I've always been interested in meeting someone special online. Someone who can stimulate my mind without wanting to stimulate any part of my body or bank account! It seems its all about sexx with most guys online these days or money transfer love. This is so wrong! Don't get me wrong, I'm not implying that every guy online is like this but it from the few times I tried to give it a go, these were the types I encountered. I personally don't think there are any good men available online. They must all be taken or something!

I would like some advice please. I want to know if there's a recipe to finding online love. I am not talking about advice on keeping an online relationship but rather a HOW to guide on fishing out the good ones and flushing out the crap.

it depends on what exactly you are lukin for, you have to make your preference and find a better site relating to your preference, some are actually difficult to search but you shouldnt give up.
i have searched for so many things on line relating to love, sex, romance and other fantasies, i got em all ranging from nice relationship, hit and run, eat and pay, chop and clean mouth, n housewives ,
honestly girl, it will surprise u that i even met a girl online that just said all she want to do is kiss and nothin more and we did meet and kissed.

Thanks for your replies. I think the problem could be that half of the people are no good and the other half are scared of the no good ones. I'll try not to be put off but its going to be hard.

My reason for choosing no love as a username was because of the whole wahala. I'm not actively using nairaland as a searching ground oh! Abeg! LOL

Case in point: I purposely showed my email address in my profile to be a bit adventurous as its something I wouldn't normally do in a forum. Within minutes (5 minutes tops) of me posting the OP on this thread, I received an email from a zubeyr deda (zubeyrd@gmail.com) saying:
