Pool got 50m for Torres - way over the top price for a striker that's not in form. Agreed. However, that is different from claiming they are better off without Torres. Do you know what they could have been with a Suarez -Torres forward line? There is nothing to suggest that Suarez and Carroll will blend for now, therefore to infer that they are better off without Torres is wrong.

I totally disagree, for one torres is quicker than suarez and over the course of a season would probably score more goals. In any case, torres sale had nothing to do with suarez as the club was already in talks with ajax about signing him. What you should look at is whether Liverpool got a better deal the £35m signing of Carroll.

Dude, torres has got nothing on suarez. Granted, he played in a 'lower' league than the premiership but that guy scored 35 goals in 33 matches. Torres doesn't even match him in skill

Who agrees that Carroll is not only going to be a waste of £35m but will also affect our game play. We already have the industry of the skill-less Kuyt and the steady Lucas, we shouldn't have too many skill-less players in the team.
