Planning to Study in the UK? Here are the Top Universities for International Students

Universities in the UK are well known for being some of the best in the world and that’s why international students (especially Nigerian, lol) always flock there in order to achieve their educational goals.
I have put together a list of the top universities in the UK for international students. Check out the list below:

1. University of Oxford
The University of Oxford is ranked first by the Times Higher Education world University ranking. Oxford is one of the most international Universities in the world. Today, one third of its students, including 17% of undergraduates, are international citizens, and come from over 150 countries.
The University of Oxford was established in 1096 and situated in Oxford, England. It’s the oldest University in the English-speaking world and its ranked top six globally in Engineering, Life Sciences, Social Sciences, and the Arts and Humanities.

2. University of Cambridge
The University of Cambridge is one of the oldest and reputed Universities in the world. The University of Cambridge has been active since 1209 and today more than 25% of undergraduates (around 3,100 students) are from outside the UK, representing around 100 countries. Famous personalities like Stephen hawking, Isaac Newton and Emma Thompson have studies from the university.

3. Imperial College London
Imperial College London is one of the top Universities in the world for studying Engineering, Science, Medicine, and Business courses. Graduates from Imperial College London have a good chance of getting a job within six months of graduation.

4. University College of London
University College of London is one of the leading Universities in the UK in terms of research. In 2018, UCL was selected to lead a project that involves the study of newly discovered planets under a multi-million-pound European mission.

5. London School of Economics and Political Science
London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) has the highest proportion of international students amongst UK Universities and its one of the best Social Science Universities in the world that specializes in Sociology, Politics, Economics, Law and Anthropology.

6. University of Edinburgh
Situated in the heart of the historic capital of Scotland, the University of Edinburgh is an internationally-focused University that welcomes students from all corners of the globe. University of Edinburgh helps international students meet people and connect through groups like the International Families and Partners Network programs.

7. Kings College London
Kings College London is one of the most culturally diversified Universities in the world with more than 30,000 students from over 150 countries. Kings College London collaborates on research projects, shares teaching resources and creates internship opportunities to enhance the students’ experience.

8. University of Manchester
The University of Manchester is among the largest single-site Universities in the UK that boasts the largest student community of almost 40,000 students which makes for a lively and welcoming atmosphere for its student body, that come from all over the world. More than 9 out of 10 graduates go straight into employment or continued studies.

9. University of Warwick
The University of Warwick is known for its commitment to research and maintains around 30 academic departments, organized into four faculties. The Warwick student union is one of the largest in the UK and uses its profits to employ students. One of the most famous alumni of Warwick is former Nigerian President Yakubu Gowon.

10. University of Bristol
Founded in 1876, the University of Bristol combines academic excellence with innovation and research. The University of Bristol is home to more than 25,000 students from across 150 countries. Bristol graduates are influential in academia, policy and practice across the world.
