I just heard a very terrible real life story about this hustle.
A bolt driver called Alex was booked on Tuesday last week around elelewo/woji area at night. He was informed it's an emergency rider that wants to go to hospital. So this bolt driver rushed to pickup point,
immediately 2 guys entered his car dragging an unconscious man which turned out to be drugged man being kidnapped. Immediately one of the rider pointed the bolt driver a gun, forced him into some kind of Bush, tied him there and they left with his car.
Anti kindnapping team caught two later as well as the bolt driver. Now police has shot two of the kidnappers, and still shot the bolt driver on the leg claiming he is an accomplice and demanding 1million naira as bail despite bolt providing details of ride and distance covered.
Please bolt drivers, night work is so dangerous in portharcourt, dont follow the bolt rules at night. Ask questions very well even before you drive to pickup point as well as avoid lonely areas as pickups.
